Some weeks ago, I messaged some of my friends, asking them to suggest lucrative business ideas for me. I emphasised repeatedly that the business must be a very lucrative one. I got feedback from some of them, and all the businesses they suggested didn't appear very lucrative to me. When I was about to discard the ideas, I paused and reminisced about my starting stage in the one I'm currently doing, and I found out that, although it hasn't gotten to the stage I want it to be, what has kept me in the business is consistency.

Almost everything we do in this life needs consistency to maximise it or to see a positive outcome. Motivation is good; motivation is for the starting stage, but consistency is the rock behind the flow.

When I started the business I'm currently into, it was motivation that pushed me. I saw how it was going to help me in sorting out my life, and I decided to venture into it. But hey, the plan didn't run smoothly at the beginning stage, and even two years after it had been established, I was still struggling. But I stayed put, never gave up, and today, the years of consistency have paid off.

Like I said, the force of consistency is applicable in all areas of life as long as one wants to excel or achieve a goal.

For example, someone who is motivated to lose weight doesn't just get into it and get out; it takes consistency to achieve the goal. I remember a certain year when I was surrounded by ladies at the workplace. All of them, out of nowhere, decided to begin going to the gym to lose weight and add muscles. They were really motivated by what they were going to achieve at the end, but during the process, all of them fell out after going to the gym for just two weeks. The little progress they were making disappeared, and they returned to their normal size, which had earlier prompted them to lose weight.

The same thing is applicable on this Hive platform. One could be motivated by the earnings of someone who has stayed for years and put in good effort, but if this person fails to remain consistent, nothing is going to show up for him.
