6 million naira, which is equivalent to $4,400, may be "chicken change" in other countries, but as for mine, that's a whole lot of money, and I don't see myself waking up one day to receive a message from a girl, whether my sister, girlfriend, wife, or anybody at all, saying that she wants to buy the newly released iPhone 18. Am I mad? Even if juju (voodoo) is used on me, it won't work.
Sorry to say this, and you can also go ahead and label me as being poor; I'm not freaked out by the trends surrounding the iPhone. I can't even differentiate between the different models of the phones merely by looking at them, as some people do. I still find it crazy how people die for iPhones as if owning one gives them a ticket to make heaven. In fact, one evangelist in my country once said that God told her that everyone who uses an iPhone will not make heaven because the iPhone is a product of the devil. I think she might be right because the way iPhones drive people crazy is very alarming, and it takes something that Satan has a hand in to draw that much attention.
As is customary in my country, the competition among ladies to own this newly released iPhone 18 has started, and they're going to "work" a lot to achieve that.
Just think of it: who would casually pull out 6 million naira, an amount of money that can buy multiple plots of land in the village, to give to a girl to buy an iPhone 18? Make it make sense, please.
Is my point saying that the guys won't own it?
Of course, they'll own it, and it's understandable because they worked for the money. Although some guys would "soil" their hands to get it.
Thanks for reading.
