So where i stay. I have neighbours but because of the kind of area it is, everybody minds their own business... No one really has dealings with anybody coupled with the fact that the couple are always out very early in the morning to come back late at night....

But a particular couple (of all my neighbours) have a three year old daughter who stays at home alone with her uncle(her mummy's younger brother) and i noticed that every time this girl comes back from school, she's always crying and screaming... Nooooo... Pleeeeaaasee.
Because of her incoherence in speech, other people were not really able to pick out what she was saying and some other people just assumed that she was crying as every child that age would....

Something always baffled me though...
why should this girl cry everyday? When her parents are leaving for work, she would cry and beg for them not to leave her at home.... She would always want to follow them out.... What could be wrong with her? Is she hungry? Is she being maltreated by her uncle?... So many things crossed my mind.

Anyways, this continued for a couple of months but somehow, yesterday I couldn't take it anymore... So I decided to discreetly barge into the house while the young girl was crying as usual..

Lo and behold, I caught this young girl's uncle trying to force his way with the girl, sweating profusely.... Immediately they saw me... The girl just folded up in one corner, her eyes red from crying... She was shaking while the uncle (about 17years old) just stood there in shock, trying to smile as if nothing was happening..... But I already saw what was going on and knew something was definitely wrong...

I couldn't believe my eyes, I didn't know what to say or do...I felt so terrible ,I was almost in tears, confused....... Apparently... This young man had been molesting his niece...
I felt bad because if I had known. I would've stopped the madness months ago but I kept assuming everything was just fine....

Immediately I got myself back.... I quickly called out to the neighbours and even my own family members who were at home by that time to come oooooooooooo
And then the girl's parents were called, the police came around and took the young man away...

Now why did I say this story?
Well it is to this end....
Please wherever you are, if you notice anything wrong or you hear a child crying out or more than the ordinary, please endeavour to find out what could be wrong...
Who knows? A child might be on the way to being molested....
Let's all join hands together and SAY NO to child abuse.... I don't think anybody would be happy if this happens to his or her child..
And if you're a parent reading this post... Please ensure you can guarantee the safety of your kids anywhere they are per time... Make no mistakes and don't assume they're fine... Be sensitive always....
