Sitting outside of the Starbucks cafe, working on some of my work while enjoying the breeze of after rain. It is something that I should have more nowadays so that I could focus on some work and get things done before I hop onto another meeting or activity. A strong reminder mechanism and prioritization is what I need. One side is that I need to set my time schedule right so that I could follow it as close as possible. Then, I need to have something to remind me so that I could take the right action when the reminder comes. Nonetheless, there is one more step that is super important which is the feedback and reward. This is one of the weakness that I have as of now. Once I done something, I did not record it down well and very soon I will forget about the process I went through, making the whole journey a waste if I want to duplicate it. Besides, without the reward system, I will get less and less motivation to continue doing something. I know myself quite well as I need some spark there to keep me going and I’m not definitely some guy that could be so resilience that no matter what happen, he could just go on and get the things done. I’m more realistic and if it is over my “limit” and “accounted budget” then I would consider put it aside. Think of it again; this may be me standing at a point where things will turn into positive situation soon as I’m going through a learning curve at the same time. Therefore, it is something hard for me to justify sometime and to have someone talk and share is great as I could get more perspective of such situation and able to learn from others to make my own decision. I had went through this a few times and without my friends, family and mentors, it sounds impossible to go through this alone. Plus, having such a support gives me more clarity on how to handle different situation and reduce the risk of doing grave mistakes.

Well, back to my beloved readers who had always been there to support my posts and initiative. What is your way to get through that hard time? I would love to hear from you and get more stories about your encounter.

orangila@orangila had sparked this thought on me that meeting different people is a blessing in disguise. It is like opening up a treasure box. We could offer help to them who are in need and others could help us back when the time is right. It is something mutual and as human, we definitely need friends, just pure friends who share stories and resources together. Of course, I would not want to argue that there are surely those who are in the line of elitism, I just want to listen and get ourselves closer. I did this friend meet ups time to time whereby I will “jio” my friends out for meals and as true as how orangila@orangila put it, it is just purely on updating each other on what we are doing and learning from experience of others. We will never know such experience could help us in which part of our life. Thus, just cherish the time we could spend together and make it two ways for both parties to enjoy. I think by knowing more intimate stuff about friends and also by observing through their action.

Looking at this, I think there is a reason that I’m fond with such bonding activity as my mum is a practicing teacher who engaged a lot of students. That is also why that I’m fascinated with psychology too. Personally, I do not like big gathering as it gets too crowded and not much that we could talk about as there is a lot of distraction. In a group, the relationship gets more complex some time and a lot of “insider news” are not shared due to it may be sensitive to certain party in a group gathering. That is why, I always prefer a gathering of one to one or the most five pax gathering that we could have mutual topics and learn about each other without having to shout at each other to get the message passed. I found it very nice on the meet up with orangila@orangila and joannewong@joannewong on the last Friday where we sat down in a cafe in Avenue K and talked about friends. That is something deep and I like how the way it turned out too.

Doing such a self reflection and record it down is useful for me. Beside helping me to remember even more details about the topic, it allows me to spread this knowledge and feeling to my readers too.
