Flight of the Phoenix
A couple of reasons for the naming of this one. The clouds in the sky kind of look like a phoenix to me...and I took this shot years ago so it kind of has been reborn from the ashes of an old hard drive.

How I will post to Instagram
There are lots of different ways to try and get peoples attention on Instagram, most of the time it needs to be captured within a fraction of a second. So how would I maximise the chances of people not

Oculus Node
Some of you may not know this, but I was a biomedical scientist for 10 years. This has made me look at cities like living organisms. Roads and highways representing veins and arteries, telecommunication

Andringitra National Park
Hiking views in Andringitra National Park, Madagascar. I was so sick when doing this hike. I thought it was just the heat and lack of sleep combined with a very steep hike. Turns out it was probably a

Dog Rocks
Some of the interesting granite shapes at Dog Rocks outside of Geelong. This was a short exposure but I used a bit of my fake long exposure technique, which you can learn how to do here: Oh wow ok that

Lost in the Mist
A break from my usual vibrant long exposures with calm morning forest scene. A way to start or end your week on this cold Melbourne evening. I do enjoy my grand scenes of open expansive landscapes. But

Camel Rock Mostly Doesn't Look Like a Camel
The back of Camel Rock doesn't look like a camel. I don't think I've seen many photos from the vantage point of where it does look like a camel. As the enter the beach you can see the Camel shape but the

Gentle Light
I really like the colour palette of this image. Something about the greens and the reds and the blue of the water that I just enjoy. A sunset from the 12 Apostles. Going through old photos as I tend to

Entering the Tunnel and Libra Coin
When I looked on a map I thought this might be an interesting location in Melbourne to get some car trails entering the Citylink tunnel. I don't mind how the image turned out but it's definitely not what

Sunset on the Yarra
There's this nice bridge that crosses the Yarra river with a distant view of the city. A pleasant winter evening and a peaceful location make for a soothing session of photography. Then the rugby match

Here are some extra shots around my previous post and long exposure shot. Here is the location with the lighthouse on the left and the spine leading into the sea to the right. The walk down isn't so bad

Cape Liptrap Lighthouse
I love discovering new places near Melbourne that I never knew existed, it's such a rarity. I stumbled upon this place on Google maps when scouting for somewhere to shoot, I was so surprised I hadn't seen

Sunset over Baobabs
Madagascar is a world of it's own. The people, the landscapes, the wildlife. All amazing in their own special way. Sunsets are sunsets no matter where you are in the world, but when you have a beautiful

I take more than 5 photos
As the title suggests, when I travel for photography and come back I end up sharing only a handful of photos. I tend to pick my favourite (if any) from each location and then do quick edits to share on

The Broken Altar
Night descends on the institutions of old answers, and with it we look to the stars for our new future. It's amazing to be living in a time between the end of easy answers and the search for real answers

A magical evening and sunset at the top of the Prom, Mt Oberon. Don't let the warmth of the photo fool you though, it gets cold and windy up here, but the views are amazing. My feet were still sore and
