Some of you may not know this, but I was a biomedical scientist for 10 years. This has made me look at cities like living organisms. Roads and highways representing veins and arteries, telecommunication infrastructure as the central nervous system. Houses are the tissue and trains and subways are the lymphatic system making train stations the lymph nodes. Of course it's not exactly the same but seeing things in this way makes me feel like a part of something bigger. A living entity possibly with a consciousness, completely unaware of the human "cells" keeping it alive.
