"I'm a completely straight girl, but I have 4 male besties. We've been friends since primary school. Our parents know each other too, so they're totally comfortable with me hanging out with them, even telling them to take care of me..
We're so close that I even tell them when my period comes. So that day it came - normally mine is very mild, but for some reason it really hurt that day. I couldn't even focus in class. So I texted them ""My 'day of the month' came today. So annoying. It hurts so bad, and my back aches too.""
That evening, when they took me home, they gave me a bag full of snacks and chocolate. They didn't even explain until I asked them what was up.
Turned out when they got my message, they all got worried (in a friend-to-friend kind of way) but didn't know what to do. So they googled it to see how much it'd hurt, and what people should eat, etc. And then they went and bought chocolate for me - not just the normal convenient store kind, but Hershey. I laughed out loud and thanked them profusely. When I opened up the bag that night, there was a note that said ""When it comes again next month, just tell us. We'll take you out eating so it won't be so bad.""
We've all graduated and studying in the last year of college. We still meet up at least once a month though, and they'd always say: If you later get married "" Your husband's too busy, just tell us and we'll get you food."" Geez, take care of your wives instead, guys, or they'll sulk at me haha.
