"Moms' adolescence was when everybody had to struggle all day thinking how to feed themselves, support their parents and make ends meet. Back then, she was only under twenties when leaving home in the Ha Noi in search of a job. She saved every penny to bring back and support grand parents and her little siblings at home.

After a long time, she saved enough to buy a train ticket to return home. She wrapped the money in pieces of clothing and shoved it deep in her backpack, always held it close.
And the day came, sitting next to her was this lady, carrying a baby in addition to her luggages, they shared the same background so somehow there was a mutual sympathy. A few stations passed, that lady asked her to keep an eye on her baby and stuffs and went to the restroom. She thought that lady trusted her to the extent of leaving her own baby, so later she also left her backpack and stuffs in the ladys' watch to go to the restroom. When she came out, there was no lady, only her backpack was left with full of stones and bricks.

She was not scared, only sad and disappointed. Having lost all clothes and money, she took off at a station and looked for dish-washing job in the neighborhood to feed herself, eventually she arrived home. Her saving was gone, but it was the first lesson of poverty and trust that she always remembers.

She always says, poverty and hardship can turn people bad, and choosing to do good things under that circumstance is not easy at all. Nevertheless, people who can keep themselves sincere and honest will always live freely and never have to feel ashamed of themselves."
