As promised in our proposal, we will post weekly updates to let you know what's going on regarding Keychain development.
Shame on me but I actually forgot to post it last week, so I decided it to condense the two weeks into this post.
Keychain extension
As mentioned previously, I am now working mostly on the mobile App but still spend some time on the extension for fixing issues and fine-tuning:
- Added 2 RPC nodes
- Fixed HBD conversion (post Eclipse)
- Avoid double transactions of Hive Engine tokens by removing the button during
- Change requirements for automatic account claiming. After some feedback from the community, the new requirements are that claiming the account uses less than 70% of max RC. Accounts that have around 5k HP should now be able to claim accounts via Keychain.
Mobile App
On the mobile side :
- Refactored to be Eclipse compatible
- Enabled Hive Engine transfers
- Implemented Hive Engine transfers history modal
- Enforcing portrait mode on Android and iOS
- Show account value in regard of Hive Engine tokens
- Add an account management screen : display keys, add key, remove key, copy key, forget account
In the coming weeks, I will mostly work on fine-tuning the design and test the App on multiple devices using simulators. I expect some issues on Android on certain devices regarding the secure storage (react-native-keychain), so there will probably be a lot of error handling in this side.
A new proposal for continuing the development will be published next week.
