In this post, I’ll share my impressions after testing Keychain Multichain (Open Beta), which I installed in Google Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.

I’ve tested some features that, as a regular Hive user, I’ll be using frequently. I haven’t tested other features, such as importing EMV accounts.

Among the features I’ve tested is creating a functional account (@doscuervos), which I’ve used to publish (this post), vote, and comment without any difficulty.

En esta publicación trataré de dejar mis impresiones después de probar la Keychain Multichain (Open Beta) instalada en google chrome desde la Chrome Web Store.

He probado algunas funciones que, como usuario habitual de Hive, voy a utilizar de forma frecuente. Otras funciones no las he probado como la importación de cuentas EMV.

Entre las funciones probadas se encuentra la creación de una cuenta funcional (@doscuervos), con la que he publicado (este post), votado y comentado sin niguna dificultad.

Importing the @enraizar account (my account) was pretty straightforward. First, I created a password after accepting the terms of service, etc. The start menu opens in Google Chrome's default language—in my case, Spanish. This default language can be easily changed, as shown in the screenshot.

The installation process is very intuitive. First, I chose to set up a Hive account from the Hive and Ethereum options. The next step was to enter the account name () and the master password in the username and private key fields.

So far, everything is working fine and without any problems. Just follow the on-screen instructions, and step by step, in a simple way, you'll have your account set up in Hive Keychain Multichain (Beta).

Hasta aquí todo funciona bien y sin ningún problema. Sólo hay que seguir las indicaciones que van apareciendo y, paso a paso, de forma sencilla ya tenemos instalada nuestra cuenta en Hive Keychain Multichain (Beta).

If you open the Hive Keychain and tap the top-left corner, a menu with various features will appear:

• Network

• Connected dApps

• Hive settings

• Advanced settings

• Preferences and display

• Help and information

I’ll try out some of these features later in this post.

At the bottom of the main screen, I see other features. Among them is one called swap.

Tapping the swap icon opens a menu that gives me the option to swap. I try it out by swapping 1 Hive for HBD. The transaction results in 0.048 HBD, which immediately appear in my Enraizar account wallet.

En la parte de abajo de la pantalla principal me encuentro con otras funciones. Entre ellas una que se llama intercambiar.

Pulsando sobre el icono de intercambio accedo a un menú que me da la opción de intercambiar. Hago una prueba cambiando 1 Hive por HBD. La operación da como resultado 0,048 HBD que parecen inmediatamente en mi billetera de la cuenta enraizar.

The next challenge was to create a new, functional Hive account using Hive Keychain Multichain. Clicking on the upper-right corner of the home page brings up a new menu with a feature called Add Account.

I click the Add Account button, and a new screen titled Setup appears. I then click the Create Account option.

Another screen appears showing my username @enraizar, a blank field to enter the new account’s name, and the transaction fee: 3 HIVE.

I fill in the blank field with the new username @doscuervos and click Next.

The next screen displays the new account’s keys and two options: Copy Keys and Create.

The problem I encountered here was that if I copied the keys and pasted them into a document created for them, the Multichain Hive Keychain would crash, and I had to repeat the process.

However, by following these steps, I had no issues: copy the keys, click “Create,” and then paste the keys into a secure location.

El siguiente reto fue crear una cuenta nueva de Hive y funcional con Hive Keychain Multichain. Pulsando sobre la esquina superior derecha de la página principal aparece un nuevo menú con una función que llanada agregar cuenta.

Pulso en el botón agregar cuenta y aparece una nueva pantalla llamada** instalación**. Entonces pulso la opción crear cuenta.

De nuevo aparece una nueba pantalla en la que aperece mi usuario @enraizar, un campo en blanco para escribir el nombre de la nueva cuenta y el percio de la operación; 3 HIVE.

Relleno el campo en blanco con el nuevo usuario @doscuervos, y pulso; siuiente,

En laa siguiente pantalla aparecen las llaves de la nueva cuenta y dos opciones: copiar las llaves y crear.

Aquí el problema que tuve es que si copiaba las llaves y las pegaba en un documento creado para ellas, la Hive Keychain Multichain se crraba y tenía que volver a repetri la operación.

Sin embargo, siguiendo los siguientes pasos no tuve problemas: copiar las llaves, pulsar crear para después pegar las llaves en un lugar seguro.

In principle, the contacts function allows you to create a contact list of users from both Hive and Ethereum. I assume this is to streamline transactions between my account(s) and other Hive or Ethereum users.

In my experience, after creating a single-user calendar, I was unable to access that user's profile in Hive.

Perhaps I didn’t know how to use this feature properly, or perhaps, since it’s a beta version, some features are still under development.

En principio, la función contacts permite crear una agenda de usuarios tanto de Hive como de Ethereum. Supomgo que para agilizar operaciones entre mi cuenta o cuentas y otros usuarios de Hive o Ethereum.

En mi experiencia, después de creada una agenda de un sólo usuario no pude acceder al perfil de ese usuario de Hive.

Quizás no supe supe hacer funcionar eat función o quizás como se trata de una versión Beta hay funciones que todavía están por desarrollar.

From the tab located in the upper-left corner of the app, a menu opens; I tapped the “Auto-Lock” option. On the Auto-Lock page, several options appear. Among them, I chose “Inactive Lock” and set it to 10 minutes. In theory, if the browser remains inactive for 10 minutes, Hive Keychain Multichain should lock.

After testing it, this option works—it locks.

Desde la pestaña situda en la esquina izquierda superior de la app se abre un menú pulsé la opción bloqueo automático. En la pagina bloque automático aparecen varias opciones. Entre ellas elegí el bloqueo inactivo y lo dejé en 10 minutos. En teoría, si el navegador permanece inactivo durante 10 minutos, Hive Keychain Multichain se debería bloquear.

Hecha la prueba, esta opción funciona, se bloquea.

Exporting the settings is a feature that requires very few steps. I click on the upper-left corner again, and from the options that appear, I select “Export Settings.”

When I click that option, a file with the .kc extension is generated and downloaded.

La exportación de la configuración es una función que requiere muy pocos pasos. Vuelvo pulsar al esquina izquierda superior y entre las opciones que se ven, escojo exportar los ajustes.

<Pulsand la opción se genera y descarga un archivo con la extensión .kc.

I assume that from this feature—which can also be accessed from the tab in the upper-left corner—I should be able to create shortcuts to certain functions.

I think I followed the steps correctly; using the key combination 2 + Alt Gr should let me switch accounts. But I wasn't able to do that. Maybe, once again, it's because I don't quite understand how it works, or because the feature is still under development.

Se supone que desde esta función, a la que accedemos también desde la pestaña situada el parte superior izquierda, se pueden crear accesos rápidos a algunas funciones.

Creo haber seguido los pasos de forma correcta, con la combinación de teclas 2 + alt gr debería poder cambiar de cuenta. Cosa que no logré. Quizás, de nuevo, o por no comprender muy bien como funciona o por ser una función todavía en desarrollo.

When you open Hive Keychain Multichain, you'll see a series of options at the bottom. Among them is one called Buy. Clicking it takes you to a menu with several exchanges; from there, I clicked on Binance.

This takes me to the Binance website, where I can log in to my account without any issues after meeting the security requirements.

Abriendo Hive Keychain Multichain, vemos que en la parte inferior tenemos una serie de opciones. Entre ellas una lalmada comprar. Pulsanod nos lleva a un meún con varias exchages, entre ella pulso sobre Binance.

Esta operación me lleva a la página de Binance y desde allí accedo a mi cuenta sin problema después de cumplir con los requisitos de seguridad.

I’ve been using Hive Keychain Multichain daily for several days now as a regular Hive user. I’ve only encountered one issue that happens occasionally.

At home and at work, I access Hive from two different Wi-Fi networks. When the network changes, Hive asks me for my username and password to log back into Hive.

On a few occasions, when I do this, Hive Keychain Multichain freezes. So, I close Chrome, and only on the second try am I able to log into my accounts.

For now, I’ll keep using the new Hive Keychain; despite the occasional difficulty I’ve had, it works pretty well for someone who posts on Hive.

Whenever I want to access Hivedex.io, I'll use the previous version of Hive Keycahin.

I hope these impressions are helpful.

Llevo usando a diario Hive Keychain Multichain desde hace varios días como un usuario más de Hive. Sólo he encontrado un problema que me ocurre en ocasiones.

En casa y en el trabajo accedo a HIve desde dos redes Wifi diferentes. Cuando la red cambia, Hive me pide el usuario y la clave de acceso para volver a iniciar sesión en Hive.

En unas pocas ocasiones, al efctuar esta operación Hive Keychain Multichain se queda colgado. Entonces, salgo de Chrome y sólo en una segunda oportunidad puedo entrar en mis cuentas.

En principio, seguiré usando la nueva Hive Keychain, a pesar de alguna dificultad que he tenido, funciona bastante bien para un creador de publicaciones en Hive.

Cuando quiera consultar Hivedex.io utilizaré la versión anterior de Hive Keycahin.

Espero que estas impresiones sean de alguna utilidad.
