Here is my actifit report detailing my activities for today.
I woke early today to wash the car since we needed to use it to go for the church service today. I also fed the rabbits and checked of how they were doing before we left for service.
Little Hero - The young shall grow
The rain that fell this morning made a lot of church members come late for service especially those that walk to church. As those of us who came early sat and waited for the service to commence I saw this little five years old girl go into one of the rooms where the choir people go to dress and came out with a mop and started mopping the floor area where members had passed through with their wet shoes and. She was cleaning the water off the floor tiles and I was really surprised at her action.
This was a very commendable action as she didn’t wait for anyone to tell her to do it, she saw something wasn’t right and took action to remedy it. She probably must have seen her mother doing this at home and may have also assisted her in her own little way and seeing this must have been something usual for her.
When the service finally started we had a lot of opportunities to dance during the church service as there were a lot of praise worship songs and thanks giving events happening. Every Sunday seems to be special these days, First Sunday, Last Sunday, Family Sunday, Women Special Sunday, Family Harvest, Group Harvest, Children Harvest, State Harvest and a whole lot of Harvest stuff as we approach the end of the year. I am not complaining about my pocket at all, I sure pray God continues to do things for me to increase it. Lol. Thank you Lord.
I think what that little girl did in church today was heroic, you see a lot of adults ran into the church to avoid been wet by the rain, it could have been easy for anyone to have fallen down because of the wet tiled flooring which is very slippery. We all just went and took our sits without thinking about the consequence a wet tiled flooring could cause to somebody that runs into the church and mistakenly slips. You don’t have to be the biggest or oldest to act wisely or do heroic deeds your little efforts can help humanity in ways that even you can’t even imagine.
I went for an evening walk with my kid to nowhere in particular just enjoying the evening breeze and talking about school, his new level in class, new friends and teachers. I am glad to see he is doing very well and finding school to be loads of fun. It is great to hear kids talking about how they are enjoying school and not getting bullied in anyway.
My song today is dedicated to that little girl I saw in church doing a heroic deed even without knowing it because to her it is part of her upbringing, a way of life. Yes, you don’t need to blow your trumpet and sound it out loud that you are doing a great job. If it’s in you, it is in you and people will see it even without you saying anything. I do hope you enjoy this Mariah Carey song titled “Hero”. I believe we can all be heroes and help as much as we can. Do have a very goodnight rest people. God bless.
