PsyberX sponsored a Splinterlands tournament yesterday, hosted by @clove71, with $4,735 in NFT as prizes and, just my luck!, placed 15th.
Joining the Tournament was convenient because I rented low-level cards to deploy in our Guild Brawl and also used them as EOS collection power. It cost me around 500 DEC in total, and had enough power for Silver 3 by EOS.
The tournament limited the cards to the Bronze league (summoners and cards' max levels are 3/2/2/1 for common, rare, epic, and legendary) but all card editions were welcome. This meant those who have them or afford them at EOS rental price can use their OP legendaries, including Llama, Yodin, and Kitty.
It must have been my lucky day as I was a bye so I immediately moved on to the next round. In the next round, I won 2 out of 3 battles with @dipta15092013.
The next round, I faced @beehold and won by default, twice!
I was anxious about the next rounds as I was aware, through @clove71's stream, that legendaries were being used and I only rented Lir Deepswimmer to try to counter one Legendary summoner, Yodin!
I first fought with @on0tole The Legionnaire who used Kitty and Earth monsters in a 40-mana game, with Blast and Keep Your Distance rulesets.
Winning Summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale
In our next fight, they used another legendary summoner and, this time, it's Yodin. I can't deny I didn't expect this as the Splinters were limited to Fire, Life, and Dragon.
How come I won, right?! Check out the full battle here.
Winning Summoner: General Sloan
But, lo and behold, I've won once again. Watch here how we stomped on Kron's undying status.
Winning summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale
Splinters were limited once more to Fire, Life, and Dragon so it was no surprise Yodin was deployed in our second battle.
Efreet Elder's Last Stand was triggered, and with Yodin's blast, didn't hope to win as blast Magic damage hurts. Click here if you want to see how Venari Crystalsmith became the MVP!

By Round 5, my record was impressive by my standards and it was so much fun seeing myself close to these probably seasoned players!
Then comes the Ueyuey, a constant in the leaderboard. He was the end of me but I felt glorious nevertheless.
I've won Edition 14 of Splinterlands NFT, which cost @dynamicryto 15,000 SPT.
Converting that 15,000 SPT to Hive then to DEC, that's around 10,000 DEC in winnings! How's that to make up for the 500 DEC rentals for EOS!
