Hey Guys! I'm back with another ranked battle today! I was playing in the Modern Ranked Bracket I. My enemy was TESHAV, who I've fought before. I had a mana cap of 68 meaning I could play some of my favourite cards. This time I chose to play my death deck. I went for this over fire since they had some very interesting cards.

Battle details

Mana Cap: 68

Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon.

Ruleset: Aim True

Modifier: All units have True Strike, which means you can't miss any attacks.

My Team

Summoner: Thalgrimore

1st: Nim Guard Captain

2nd: Sorrow Harvester

3rd: Vengeful Monk

4th: Great Bear Druid

5th: Lenore Nevermore

6th: Black Widow

I started by summoning my summoner Thalgrimore. I chose to go for my death deck rather than fire as I've been playing fire a lot. I then played my first card, Nim Guard Captain. I wanted to play a card that will stay in the frontline.

I then played my second card, Sorrow Harvester. This would be a good card to play in the back. Next I played my third card, Vengeful Monk. I've been playing this card in previous battles.

I then played my fourth card, Great Bear Druid. I've played this a lot before. Fifth card was Lenore Nevermore. My sixth card was Black Widow. I was happy with my deck, now I just need to see what my enemy has got.

As the ruleset was Aim True, no attacks would miss. This meant I couldn't rely on my enemy's cards missing.

Battle

At the start of the battle my enemy had played six cards. They had a different summoner and had chosen an earth deck. The first card they had was very healthy. They also had some cards that could attack in the back so my team would need to deal with that. I was excited to see how well my death deck would do against an earth deck. I had some new cards in my deck.

Both teams began attacking each other. As there was an Aim True ruleset there were no missed attacks. I was interested to see how well my cards would do. They had some strong cards and I wasn't sure if my team would be able to cope with them. I was hoping my cards would be able to do enough damage.

As the battle carried on the enemy began to lose their cards. My team were taking damage but they were still holding on. I felt confident. The battle lasted a while and it was interesting to see how both teams were doing. I was interested to see if my choice of playing death deck rather than fire would pay off.

I was able to defeat TESHAV and win the ranked battle! I was happy with this as I don't always play my death deck. It was nice to know that this deck could win.

Rewards

I gained +40 rating and 92 Glint. I'm still in Division 8 but my next goal is to get to 700 rating. It was good to gain 40 rating from one battle.

I was happy to gain 92 Glint. Any rewards help.

Overall I think my choice to play death deck was a good choice. I've been playing fire a lot recently so I wanted to try something different. It was also interesting to fight TESHAV again. I've fought them before but every battle can be different depending on the cards and ruleset.

I think I will keep experimenting with different decks. I sometimes get too comfortable with playing my favourite cards but it can also be fun to try different decks.

Future

I'm still grinding my rating up and will try to get out of Division 8 asap. I'm getting closer to 700 rating. Hopefully I'll hit it soon! I will try to play a different deck next time.

Thanks for reading my battle report!
