It's just so hard to live with lots of painful memories. You try so hard with every incredibly painful breath you take to overcome those painful memories, but somehow, it always seems to find ways to get in the way of your present life.
Sadly, so many people live with such painful memories, especially the type they experienced in their childhood. The painful consequence of growing up with these painful memories is exactly what manifests itself in the life of people when they find it hard to do some things in their later years.
All things considered, it has become fairly obvious that the painful experience people had in their past is one of the things that build up certain phobias in people.
A good example is the case of someone with a past as painful as a stab to the heart from a trusted friend, family or lover. The feeling of being betrayed is something you wouldn't want to experience at all. It comes with a lot of sadness, and grief and also leads to 'trust issues' on the part of the victim. They live with this pain and it often affects how they relate with people going forward.
The proportion of people who have one or more bad experiences is overwhelming. I've got mine too which I try to tame, overcome and get rid of, but I'm not an expert in this. I've read some really helpful articles about how to get rid of painful memories, but I can't say they have been as effective as I want.
By the end of the day, it appears that so many people would have to live with really painful memories. I'm still interested in learning how to subdue mine as much as possible to make sure that it won't get in the way of my current life and my plans for the future.
If you've got any of those painful (childhood) memories, feel free to share what helps you keep them subdued.
