You’re right, the keys are really hard to press. If you type for a long time, your hands can start to hurt.
Back when typewriters were still popular, I don’t remember ever seeing an electric typewriter in our place. I wish I had, though. The non-electric typewriter didn’t have a feature for correcting mistakes, so it was quite a hassle. If you made a typo, you had to use correction fluid to cover it up and then type over it again.
