Being new to a web3 community is like starting a new friendship. Daily there is always a new member to a web3 community. Just like myself, i joined the Ecency community some days ago and its important to get adapted to the community and learn how to interact with people in the community. So this post is simply to take us through some easy tips on how to interact with a new web3 community.
Learn how things are done: Its important to take out time to discover how things are done in that community. This is a journey i am still going through. Read through conversations in the community and get acquainted with what happens there. Understand the culture of the community in order to make good conversations there. For instance, Gm is a common term in the web3 space which means Good morning but can be used at any time of the day. Do well to get acquainted to whatever basic culture the community has.
Know the basic rule: You don't want to get into the bad books just yet or even later so be sure to know and abide my the basic rules of the community. I literally bookmarked all the Ecency rules and I'm abiding by them. This is important to ensure a safe and rewarding stay in the community.
Make Connections: This is something Twitter taught me through my 27 days of being active there. The power of connection is so mighty and there is vast freedom in the web3 space for you to express yourself and communicate effectively even with people you have never seen before. I am open to making lots of connections here so if you don't mind, make a comment on this post lets connect 🤝
Pitching suggestions: To remain relevant in a new Web3 community, it is important to actively pitch in meaningful suggestions that would help in the growth of the community. This makes you an active and relevant member of the community.
Be flexible: Being too serious all the time is choking don't you think?
Its relevant to be free-spirited, flexible and add a touch of humour in everything you do. That makes it easy to build sustainable relationships with others and remain a pillar in the community.
I hope you found this helpful, what other tips would you give? Please let me know in the comments.
