Hello my dear readers, I hope you are well and that you have or have had an excellent day. I had days without making any publication because I had some inconveniences at home, which kept me busy for a few days, but little by little I will be resuming my publications.
I told you in previous publications that my mother was a cutting and sewing teacher, now she is currently retired, but in her time as a teacher she taught her students, not only sewing, but also painting techniques on fabric, embroidery, crochet fabrics, among others and she always kept the patterns or templates with which she worked.
Looking for some papers that I needed I found some templates that she used to make some tablecloths painted with fabric paint, so I wanted to remember those moments and although I never took classes with her, I always saw how she did the work and something remained of that, so today I want to show you how to make some pillowcases, painted with stencils.
STEP BY STEP:
As I told you the templates were made by my mother with paper, she simply took a sheet of paper, cut out a circle and made the figures that they liked and took the shape. Sometimes she used those napkins that came with decorations to place the cakes, I don't know if in other countries they sold them or what they were called but they were quite useful.
To start I will take the white fabric and with the meter I will measure to cut some rectangles of 65 x 55 cm, which will be the cover as such, this includes what is left for the seams and the edge.
Once we have the desired size of the sleeves, we proceed to fix the stencil with the pins, we must press it well so that it does not move and ruin the work by staining everything or smearing the paint.
Then I will choose the paint and a short, stiff brush and start stippling from the center outwards, as you can see in the pictures.
When I finished painting everything I wanted to be orange, I proceeded to paint with the green color, the rest of the holes in white and I will do it in the same way I painted with orange, mottling all over the empty space.
For those who do not know what it is to speckle, it is to tap with the brush on the fabric, keeping the brush in a vertical position, thus preventing the paint from running. You should also be careful not to soak the brush so much with the paint, in order to do a neat job.
Once I finished painting all the empty spaces, I let it dry a little and proceeded to remove the stencil. As you can see, there are some blank spaces left, so to make it prettier, I decided to paint them to make them uniform.
I continue decorating the flower, painting the center in yellow and placing black dots in the spaces between petals, with a tall stick, as you can see in the photo.
This way the flower is finished and you can see that I painted two flowers, one in each sleeve.
Now I will do the same procedure as I did before. I will attach the other stencil to make another flower next to where I did the previous one and paint it the same way I painted the other one.
I remove the stencil and as there are still blank spaces, I proceed to join them to make them look better.
And I decorate the flower with dots, both in black and green.
And so that those two flowers don't look so sad, I made with the template I used first, half of that flower, as you can see in the images.
This way, all the flowers that I wanted to make to the covers are already in place.
Let the flowers dry well and then I made a border on the cover and also made a decoration with the same stencil.
And now I let all the flowers dry well again and proceed to close the sleeves and here I have the finished work.

Hola mis queridos lectores, espero que se encuentren bien y que tengan o hayan tenido un excelente d铆a. Ten铆a d铆as sin hacer ninguna publicaci贸n porque se me presentaron varios inconvenientes en mi casa, el cual me mantuvo ocupada unos cuantos d铆as, pero poco a poco ir茅 retomando de nuevo mis publicaciones.
Les cont茅 en publicaciones anteriores que mi madre era profesora de corte y costura, ahorita est谩 actualmente jubilada, pero en sus tiempos como profesora se dedicaba a ense帽arles a sus alumnas, no solo costura, sino tambi茅n, t茅cnica de pinturas en tela, bordados, tejidos en crochet, entre otros y siempre guardaba los patrones o plantillas con las cuales trabajaba.
Buscando unos papeles que necesitaba me encontr茅 con unas plantillas que uso para hacer unos manteles pintados con pintura de tela, as铆 que quise recordar esos momentos y aunque nunca tome clases con ella, siempre ve铆a como hacia los trabajos y pues algo se me quedo de eso, as铆 que hoy quiero mostrarles a ustedes, como realizar unas fundas para almohadas, pintadas con plantillas.
PASO A PASO:
Como les comente las plantillas fueron hechas por mi madre con papel, ella simplemente tomo una hoja de papel, recort贸 un circulo y le hizo las figuras que les gustaba y le sacaba la forma. A veces usaba esas servilletas que ven铆an con decoraciones para colocar las tortas, no s茅 si en otros pa铆ses las vend铆an o como se llamaban pero eran bastante 煤tiles.
Para comenzar tomar茅 la tela blanca y con el metro medir茅 para cortar unos rect谩ngulos de 65 x 55 cm, que ser谩 la funda como tal, esto incluye lo que se deja para las costuras y el borde.
Ya con el tama帽o deseado de las fundas procedo a fijar la plantilla con los alfileres, debemos prensarla bien para que no se nos mueva y se arruine el trabajo manchando todo o que se corra la pintura.
Luego escoger茅 la pintura y un pincel de pelos duros y cortos y comenzare a motear del centro hacia afuera, como pueden apreciar en las fotos.
Cuando termine de pintar todo lo que quer铆a que fuera de color naranja, proced铆 a pintar con el color verde, el restante de los huecos en blanco y lo hare de la misma forma que pinte con el naranja, moteando por todo el espacio vac铆o.
Para los que no saben que es motear, es dar golpecitos con el pincel en la tela, manteniendo el pincel en posici贸n vertical, as铆 se evita que la pintura se corra. Tambi茅n se debe de tener cuidado de no empapar tanto el pincel con la pintura, para poder hacer un trabajo prolijo.
Una vez que ya termine de pintar todo los espacios vac铆os, dejo secar un poco y procedo a retirar la plantilla. Como pueden ver, quedan espacios en blanco, as铆 que para que quede m谩s bonito, los decid铆 pintar para que queden uniforme.
Continuo decorando la flor, pintando el centro en color amarillo y colocando puntos en color negro por los espacios entre p茅talos, con un palito de altura. tal como lo pueden ver en la foto.
Quedando de esta manera la flor terminada y se pueden dar cuenta que pinte dos flores, una en cada funda.
Ahora realizare el mismo procedimiento que hice anteriormente. Fijare la otra plantilla para hacer otra flor a un lado de donde hice la anterior y pintare de la misma forma que pinte la otra.
Retiro la plantilla y como quedan espacios en blanco, procedo a unirlos para que se vean mejor.
Y decoro la flor con puntos, tanto en negro como en verde.
Y para que no se vea tan triste esas dos flores, realice con la plantilla que use primero, la mitad de esa flor, como lo pueden ver en las im谩genes.
Quedando de esta manera ya todas las flores que le quise realizar a las fundas.
Deje secar bien las flores y despu茅s le realizo a la funda, una orilla y tambi茅n le realice una decoraci贸n con la misma plantilla.
Y ahora si dejo secar nuevamente bien todas las flores y procedo a cerrar las fundas y aqu铆 ya tengo el trabajo terminado.
Espero que les haya gustado el trabajo, que lo puedan realizar pues como ven es bastante sencillo y solo se necesita tener un poco de imaginaci贸n.
