I had a small mirror that was slightly broken from one side. I did not want to throw it away, so I thought of decorating it with colorful clay and giving it a new and beautiful look.This DIY was very simple and enjoyable to make, and I only used a few basic things. So let me show you how I decorated this little mirror.

Things I Used

For this DIY, I used a small mirror, colorful clay, and a knife for making small cuts and details.For the flower, I used orange and yellow clay. I also used green clay for the leaves. For the cute little duck, I used yellow, black, orange and green clay.

Making the Flower

First, I decided to cover the broken part of the mirror with a beautiful clay flower.For the flower, I took orange clay and made five small balls from it. I tried to keep all the balls almost the same size so that the flower would look neat.
Then I took some yellow clay and made one small ball for the center of the flower.After making all the pieces, I joined the five orange balls together in a circle. Then I placed the yellow ball in the middle.I gently pressed the pieces together with a hard and flat object so that they could stick properly and the flower could keep its shape.After that, I used a knife to make small cuts on the orange petals. These little lines gave the petals a better finish and made the flower look more detailed and beautiful.Once the flower was ready, I carefully fixed it on the broken part of the mirror. I really liked how the flower covered the damaged area and gave the old mirror a completely different look.

Making the Green Leaves

After adding the flower, I felt that I should add some leaves around it.So, I took green clay and made two small balls. Then I rolled each one into a longer shape and pressed it gently with a hard object.After that, I started giving the clay the shape of a leaf with my fingers. I made one side slightly pointed so that it would look more like a real leaf.Then I used a knife to make a small line in the middle of each leaf. I also added a few small lines on the leaves to make them look more natural.When both leaves were ready, I fixed them on the two sides of the flower. The green leaves looked really nice with the orange and yellow flower.

Making the Cute Duck

Now it was time to make the cutest part of my mirror.
I made a little duck from yellow clay. I thought this cute duck would make the mirror look more fun and adorable.First, I took some yellow clay and rolled it into a round ball. Then I pressed it gently to make a nice flat shape for the duck's face.For the eyes, I took two very small pieces of black clay. I rolled them into tiny balls and fixed them onto the yellow face.Then I used orange clay to make the duck's beak. I made the orange clay a little longer and then pressed it gently. After that, I used a knife to make a small line in the middle of the beak.I wanted to make the duck even cuter, so I also made a small green bow for its head. I fixed the bow on top of its head, and I think this little detail made the duck look really adorable.

Decorating the Mirror

After finishing the duck, I fixed it on the upper corner of the mirror.At first, I was thinking about decorating the whole mirror with many more flowers and different clay designs. But the mirror was quite small, and if I added too many flowers, there would not be enough mirror space left.I wanted to keep the mirror useful as well as decorative, so I decided to keep the design simple.In the end, I decorated it with one beautiful flower, two green leaves and one cute little duck with a bow.

I really loved how this little mirror turned out. It was originally slightly broken, but with a little creativity and some colorful clay, I was able to give it a completely new look.I think this is a very easy DIY that you can try at home.
