November has arrived and with it all the joy and enthusiasm for Christmas. In my country, particularly, Christmas decorations and preparations begin very early and although I am not a fan of Christmas decorations, this year I decided to make several projects alluding to Christmas.
Some of these projects will be to give as gifts to family and friends and others I will make for commissions.

In this publication I will be showing you two simple but very nice and practical projects; It is a Christmas pot holder and a set of placemats and cup holders woven in the classic colors of Christmas.
The pot holder pattern is the same granny square I used in a previous post where I shared several designs from Crochet pot holders, only this time work with the colors green, red and white.
To knit the placemat I wanted to try a new pattern to get out of the granny routine, although I must confess that I am a big fan of projects made with granny squares. This pattern starts in the same way that we start a granny, but from the third round it has a small variation that consists of only knitting half of the square until round number twelve and then closing with a complete round. as in the original pattern. It is the first time that I knit with this model and I really loved the final result.
The coaster is simply a granny square with only four rows and with a border of single crochets and finally a slip stitch to give the edge more firmness. This set of placemats and coasters is ideal for use at breakfast, as breakfast plates tend to be smaller. The intention of making this kit was to give it to a friend who lives alone and who usually has breakfast and lunch in her office, since she loves Christmas, I wanted to give her this little detail.
I made the pot grabber game at the request of one of my sisters who wants to make a present for one of her colleagues. I think these types of projects will keep me knitting for the rest of the Christmas season, since most of my friends love Christmas.
