Greetings friends of Hive and especially friends of NeedleWorkMonday. It is always a pleasure to write and share the anecdotes of my crafts. Today I want to tell you how my Christmas projects are going.
As I have mentioned several times before, I am not the most Christmasy person out there. However, my love for knitting makes me accept requests for Christmas projects and I can truly say that I make them with a lot of love. This week I took up again my request for Christmas placemats and cup holders. This work had been paused because I didn't have enough material to finish it. On Monday I finally received my order of yarns and thanks to this I have been able to resume my work.
Cuando es un proyecto nuevo, que apenas inicia, no tiene mucha importancia el tono de blanco que usemos, pero cuando el proyecto est谩 avanzado y le a帽adimos un tono de blanco diferente al anterior, pues la diferencia se nota bastante.
Esto fue precisamente lo que me pas贸.
Debido a este percance, mi trabajo se retras贸 hasta que me volvieran a enviar el tono de blanco correcto.
One of the biggest drawbacks that has been presented by buying the material online, is the issue of color shades. With this project I had a situation with the white color.
When it is a new project, just starting, it is not very important the shade of white we use, but when the project is advanced and we add a different shade of white to the previous one, the difference is quite noticeable.
This is precisely what happened to me.
Because of this mishap, my work was delayed until they sent me the correct white tone again.

Se componen solo de 4 vueltas y el patr贸n es muy similar al que us茅 para tejer los individuales.
After solving this problem, I continued knitting the placemats and then the cup holders that I show you in this publication.
They are simple cup holders that match the placemats. They are very quick to knit and quite easy to make.
They have only 4 rows and the pattern is very similar to the one I used to knit the placemats.

This inconvenience of the shades has already happened to me several times because the supplier does not pay much attention to the codes of the shades. But for those of us who knit a detail like this is extremely important if we want to deliver a neat and decent job. Tell me if you have had a similar experience with the material of your work.
