Greetings to all my dear fellow artisans in this beautiful community, with all my heart I wish you are well and are having a beautiful and blessed week.
My post for today is something different than what I usually share with you every week. As I show you some projects I've been working on, I'd like to talk a little bit about my love for the wonderful art of crochet.
Today I realized that my love for crochet is quite big. I tell you that today I have been a little unwell due to severe cervical pain; to make matters worse, the internet connection dropped throughout the afternoon; This situation made me a bit uncomfortable, since I am quite restless and I don't like to be without doing anything. Instead of taking the opportunity to rest, the only thing I could think about was knitting; however, the pain did not allow me to do much with the needles. At that moment I asked myself: What am I going to do if one day I have to stop crocheting? I must confess that there was no answer, because I cannot imagine my life without the art that has been my therapy for so long.
Crochet has been with me for many years, it has been my escape route, my lifeline, my moment of reflection and a door to creativity. Although my multiple occupations do not allow me to knit every day, I always left a space on the weekend to dedicate to my knitting. During the week I take advantage of any free time to surf the internet and look for new ideas. I dedicate my moments of distraction or entertainment to watching video tutorials on Pinterest, You tube and even TikTok.
Although I have been knitting for many years, I still consider myself a beginner. I learned to crochet by watching magazines, so things didn't always work out for me. Now, thanks to technology, it is possible to learn with someone who explains and shows each project step by step. I love learning new techniques and stitches and the more I learn, the more of a beginner I feel. That's why I don't usually do tutorials on my projects, I simply tell you how I've done it from what I've been able to learn, but by no means do I consider myself an expert.
Saludos y bendiciones.
My love for crochet made me a lover of threads, wool and everything related to textile materials with which it can be woven. At one time I was a compulsive buyer of knitting materials, an aspect that I have had to leave behind, since the economy of my country does not allow me to be so loose with money.
Today I feel truly grateful to be able to share my little projects in this community, to be able to learn from all the incredible and talented people who post here, and to be able to generate an income doing what I love the most in life.
Thanks to all my colleagues who always support my content with their nice comments. Greetings and blessings.
