Hola lectores!

DAY 13
MOUNTAIN HIKING OR SAILING?
I would start with mountain hiking. For now it is easier and more comfortable for me.
For that I would train myself every day by hiking. On these hikes I would take my state of mind and health as an indication that my body can withstand the climb up the mountain. Then, with that data in my hands, I would consult a doctor friend and he would give me his opinion and tell me if I have to take any test or analysis before starting the climb.
Meanwhile, I would check that I have my shoes, clothing and any other equipment such as repellent, water bottles, first aid kit and permits necessary for the adventure.
I would plan my mountain climb with a group of friends. We would go to a national park. I would like the Henry Pittier in Venezuela. It has a great diversity of birds, representing 6% worldwide, according to Wikipedia, so it is listed as an important area for bird conservation. We would dedicate ourselves to visualize the birds, listen to the sounds of nature, observe the plants and everything that is around. With all this I would make a photographic record to keep and show, to those who could not go, the wonders of nature.
I would also use this photographic record to make people aware of the importance of conserving nature.
Later on, I would do navigation.
On one occasion I made a trip on the Caura River (a tributary of the Orinoco River, Venezuela) and we were able to observe the toninas (the largest river dolphins in the world) dancing in the water. The spectacle is simply marvelous!
Here is the link about the Caura River:
You can feel the differences between the two treks. The sailing one gives the feeling of freedom, while the mountain one is like an internalization of oneself.
