Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a Canadian artist that has been making art all my life. It has been my career. Some of the time I sell a lot of work and some of the time I don't. But the riches come from the creative process. Everyone can benefit from this.
I'm looking forward to posting examples of techniques that can help people learn to draw and paint. It is a practice like anything else but you can get a lot of joy from moving a pencil around and creating images. A lot of my work is abstract art but everything I do comes from a strong structure. Its like making a building, if you don't know how to build straight walls your building will never stand up. With art it's important to learn how to draw and then compose. So whether you want to draw something realistic or do an abstract image you need the same skills. My next post will have a skill that anyone can start with and begin to draw. I think Steemit could be a great platform to teach anyone skills to make art.
