Hoy es #Lunes de Costura y quiero compartir con ustedes la confección de un "Vestido Rib con Cuello Abierto" en tono marrón claro, un color neutro, versátil y cálido, nos aporta elegancia y frescura, evocando sensaciones de naturaleza, seguridad y comodidad, además es un todo base en la moda ya que combina con casi todos los colores; el detalle de cuello abierto hace que el vestido tenga estilo y aporte equilibrio visual en los rostros redondos y las personas con cuello corto. La ventaja de éste tipo de vestido con cuello abierto es que se puede usar de manera formal o informal, osea se adapta a diferentes looks. Sin más preámbulo, te invito a que me acompañes en el paso a paso de la confección de éste vestido.

Today is #SewingMonday, and I want to share with you how to make a light brown open-neck ribbed dress. This neutral, versatile, and warm color gives us elegance and freshness, evoking feelings of nature, security, and comfort. It is also a fashion staple since it goes with almost all colors. The open neck detail gives the dress style and provides visual balance for round faces and people with short necks. The advantage of this type of open-neck dress is that it can be worn formally or informally, meaning it adapts to different looks. Without further ado, I invite you to join me in the step-by-step process of making this dress.

1 Metro de tela rib marrón.
Retazos de tela rib de rayas.
Patrón.
Cinta métrica.
Alfileres.
Tiza.
Tijeras.
Máquina de coser.

1 meter of brown rib fabric.
Scraps of striped rib fabric.
Pattern.
Tape measure.
Pins.
Chalk.
Scissors.
Sewing machine.

Primero doblé la tela rib marrón en dos, y sobre ésta coloqué el patrón trasero.

First, I folded the brown rib fabric in half, and placed the back pattern on top of it.

Para la pieza delantera utilicé el mismo patrón trasero, pero bajé 7 cm más el cuello.

For the front piece, I used the same pattern as for the back, but lowered the neckline by 7 cm.

Posteriormente saqué el patrón de las mangas.

Then I cut out the pattern for the sleeves.

Para la tapeta del vestido, hice una abertura de 12 cm de largo, desde el cuello hasta el busto, a la cual le hice un piquete en V invertida de 1 cm, seguidamente, abrí completamente la abertura y cosí la tapeta 1 cm hacia adentro de la orilla y Luego cerré la abertura para coser el final de la tapeta en forma de v.

For the dress placket, I made a 12 cm long opening from the neckline to the bust, to which I made a 1 cm inverted V-shaped notch. Next, I opened the opening completely and sewed the placket 1 cm in from the edge. Then I closed the opening to sew the end of the placket in a V shape.

Una vez terminadas las piezas anteriores, coloqué la pieza delantera sobre la pieza trasera con sus derechos enfrentados y pasé costura por los.hombros para unirlos.

Once the previous pieces were finished, I placed the front piece on top of the back piece with the right sides facing each other and sewed along the shoulders to join them.

Corté un sesgo de tela rib de rayas, para corselo en el ruedo de la manga

I cut a strip of striped rib fabric to sew onto the sleeve hem.

Luego procedí a pegar las mangas por el recorrido de la Sisa.

Then I proceeded to glue the sleeves along the armhole.

Cuando terminé de pegar las mangas, procedí a unir los laterales del vestido para cerrarlo.

When I finished attaching the sleeves, I proceeded to join the sides of the dress to close it.

Una vez cerrado el vestido, procedí a armar el cuello y bastearlo por todo el contorno para pasar costura segura.

Once the dress was closed, I proceeded to assemble the collar and baste it around the entire edge to ensure a secure seam.

Finalmente hice el ruedo del vestido.

I finally made the hem of the dress.
