Well in my previous post I left you a little glimpse of what this post would be about. So here goes the recap... now I have a baby cat in my house 🥴

Bueno en mi anterior post les dejé un pequeño vistazo de lo que se trataría este post. Así que aquí les va el resumen… ahora tengo un gato bebe en mi casa 🥴
Ok you may be wondering "Kat Are you crazy girl? A wolf and a kitten in a mini apartment? " Well yes... That's exactly what I told my husband when he came in from receiving the delivery with Pua's food and a little orange ball of fur.
The story went like this. My husband came down on Monday, December 5th to receive the delivery of Púa's food, just when it was halftime of the Japan vs Croatia game.
I was looking at him with a face of Ehh love... is that a kitten? Púa didn't give him any time at all and immediately started sniffing him desperately. I swear, he had eyes that looked like they were going to pop out of his head.
Ok ustedes se preguntarán "Kat ¿Tu eres loca muchacha? ¿Una loba y un gatito en un mini apartamento?" Pues sí… Eso fue exactamente lo que le dije a mi esposo cuando llegó de recibir el delivery con la comida de Púa y una bolita de pelos anaranjada.
La historia fue así. Mi esposo bajó el lunes 5 de diciembre a recibir el pedido de la comida de Púa, justo cuando tocaba el medio tiempo del partido de Japón vs Croacia.
Yo me le quedé viendo con cara de Ehh amor… ¿eso es un gatito? Púa si no dio tiempo de nada y enseguida empezó a olerlo desesperadamente. Se los juro tenía unos ojos de impresión que parecía que se le iban a salir
We put him on the floor and gave him some water. The poor thing drank and drank it all. But Púa couldn't stop sniffing it.
Lo pusimos en el piso y le dimos algo de agua. El pobrecito bebió y se tomó todo. Pero Púa no dejaba de olerlo.
I asked my husband where he had taken him from and he told me that he had rescued him from some kids who wanted to kill him with a rock 😭.
He was on his way to pick up the food and saw that the kids were trying to grab something in one of the barred walkways of the buildings. On his way back, the kids were walking towards him with a kitten that was scrubbing itself trying to escape and some rocks.
Le pregunté a mi esposo de dónde lo había sacado y me dijo que lo había rescatado de unos niñatos que lo querían matar con una piedra 😭
Él iba en camino a recoger la comida y vió que los niños estaban tratando de agarrar algo en una de las caminerias enrejadas de los edificios. Cuando venía de regreso, los niños iban caminando hacia él con un gatito que se restregaba tratando de escapar y unas piedras.
He did not fail to ask them. Exercising the authority of his manly size, he snatched the kitten from their hands and walked away.
The horrible children kept staring at him, but left not before hurling some vulgarities typical of their rotten mentality.
No faltó preguntarles. Ejerciendo la autoridad de su tamaño de hombre, le arrebató al minino de las manos y se fue caminando.
Los horribles niños se le quedaron viendo mal, pero se fueron no sin antes lanzarles algunas vulgaridades propias de su mentalidad podrida.
Rescuing him was the easy part, but for me it was like reviving Vietnam..... I told him that we could keep him for an hour and then leave him with his mom and his siblings in the area where the community cats hang out, since there are several ladies who "take care" of them and feed them.
But as the saying goes, "You think you adopt them, but they are the ones who adopt you"
Rescatarlo fue la parte fácil, pero para mí era como revivir Vietnam…. Yo le dije que podíamos tenerlo una hora y después dejarlo con su mamá y sus hermanitos en la zona donde se la pasan los gatos de la comunidad, ya que hay varias señoras que los "cuidan" y los alimentan.
Peeeerooo como dice el dicho Tu crees que los adoptas, pero son ellos los que te adoptan a ti"
The truth was that my husband convinced me to adopt him. Those days were stressful because Púa wouldn't stop licking his little parts and the poor thing had little fleas.
How we could that day we improvised some little dishes for his food and water. We couldn't buy any litter for his bath, so we had to clean up each time and make sure that Pua didn't eat those "little gifts".
Lo cierto fue que mi esposo me convenció para que lo adoptasemos. Esos días fueron estresantes porque Púa no dejaba de lamerle sus partecitas y el pobrecito tenía pulguitas.
Cómo pudimos ese día improvisamos unos platitos para su comida y agua. No pudimos comprar nada de arena para su baño, así que tocó ir limpiando cada vez y estar pendiente de que Pua no se comiera esos "regalitos"
The next day, I went out early in the morning to deworm the two animals at a low-cost veterinary service we have here in the neighborhood.
I had never gone with Púa because her vet is further down the avenue... but I didn't have any money at the time and it was urgent.
Al día siguiente, salí bien temprano a desparasitar a los dos animalitos a un servicio veterinario de bajo costo que tenemos aquí en el barrio.
Yo nunca había ido con Púa porque su veterinario atiende más abajo en la avenida… pero no tenía dinero en ese momento y era urgente.
It turned out to be a great decision because I was able to get them both dewormed for a mere $2.00, although we did have to wait a good while.
We left them at home and rushed to the hospital as we were due for a follow up visit for the "cough" we had been having for a week and a half.
Resultó ser una gran decisión porque pude desparasitarlos a ambos por apenas 2$, aunque sí tuvimos que esperar un buen rato.
Los dejamos en casa y salimos corriendo al hospital pues nos tocaba la consulta de seguimiento por la "tos" que teníamos desde hacía semana y media.

Indeed the doctor told us it was COVID and gave my husband another week of rest 😵💫 when we left we went straight to the pet stores on the avenue to buy everything for our new pet.
Since our pocket was tight, we didn't spend $11 on a sandbox. We simply bought a $2 punch bowl and two bags of shavings for $6. It may not be the most "Chic" but it does the job. The kitty mirringo was 5$ a kilo and that little package has lasted her 2 weeks already 🐱
Efectivamente la doctora nos dijo que era COVID y le dió a mi esposo otra semana de reposo 😵💫 al salir de allí nos fuimos derecho a las tiendas de animales de la avenida para comprarle todo a nuestro nuevo animalito.
Cómo el bolsillo apretaba, no gastamos 11$ en un arenero. Simplemente compramos una ponchera de 2$ y dos sacos de virutas por 6$. No será lo más "Chic" pero cumple con la función. La mirringo para gatitos estaba 5$ el kilo y ese paquetito le ha durado ya 2 semanas 🐱
It's going to be two weeks now (in which we have been going out almost every day) and we think that Púa has been a little calmer feeling "accompanied" by little Simba.
I didn't want to name him Simba, but my husband was the one who rescued him and bought him all of them, so it was his right 🤭
Ya se van a cumplir dos semanas (en las que hemos estado saliendo casi todos los días) y creemos que Púa ha estado un poco más tranquila al sentirse "acompañada" por el pequeño Simba
Yo no quería ponerle Simba, pero mi esposo fue el que lo rescató y le compró todos, así que estaba en su derecho 🤭
Another point to highlight is that thanks to the arrival of this little guy I finally got around to cleaning and tidying up the washing machine space as that will be where the sandbox will go when he grows up.
For the moment, Simba is staying in the computer room. We can't leave him free all day because Pua still plays too rough with him and we are afraid he will hurt him, but we are thankful that since minute 1 they get along very well.
Otro punto a resaltar es que gracias a la llegada de este chiquitín finalmente me dispuse a limpiar y ordenar el espacio de la lavadora pues será allí donde irá el arenero cuando crezca.
Por los momentos, Simba se está quedando en el cuarto de la computadora. No podemos dejarlo libre todo el día porque aún Pua juega muy brusco con él y nos da miedo que lo lastime, pero damos gracias que desde el minuto 1 ellos dos se llevan muy bien.
And well this is the storytime of how "The spirit of Christmas came to me in the form of a kitten".
Reviewing my year in this sense, I don't know why I keep attracting little animals to help or befriend... I guess it's simply because I love them, but now I can say that not a pin goes in my house anymore.
For now, what worries him is how to spend Christmas with Púa and Simba at my mother-in-law's house, which is a cat paradise. Going down with the perolero to La Guaira and keeping an eye on them will be just ✨divine✨

Repasando mi año en este sentido, no se porque sigo atrayendo animalitos a los cuales ayudar o con los que trabó amistad… supongo que es simplemente porque me encantan, pero ahora sí puedo decir que en mi casa no entra un alfiler más.
Por ahora, lo que le preocupa es cómo pasar la navidad con Púa y Simba en casa de mi suegra que es el paraíso gatuno. Bajar con el perolero a la Guaira y estar pendiente de ellos será simplemente ✨divino✨
I say goodbye encouraging you to take care of all your pets. If they come to you for something it will be for something, let's try to be empathetic and ask God to give us a lot of money to give these little angels a dignified life 🙏🏻🐺🐶🐱🐰🐢
