Ella es Perla, una Agaporni que llego a nuestras vidas hace 3 meses, un poco asustada y tímida al comienzo de su adaptación en el hogar.

Perla llego a casa por medio de mi cuñado que era criador de estas lindas aves, y a mi hija le encantaron y siempre le decía al tío que le regalara uno, ya anteriormente cuando mi niña estaba de 2 años de edad me habían regalado una pareja de periquitos australianos, pero creo que estaban muy viejitos porque al poco tiempo murieron, y me quedo la jaula.

Pearl came home through my brother-in-law who was a breeder of these beautiful birds, and my daughter loved them and always told the uncle to give her one, already before when my girl was 2 years old they had given me a couple of Australian parakeets, but I think they were very old because they died shortly after, and I keep the cage.

En vista que ya tenia tiempo con esa jaula, decidí que ya era tiempo de darle uso, y mi cuñado nos dijo que nos iba a regalar una hembrita a quien le pusimos el nombre de Perla.

Ese primer día no quiso comer y tampoco beber nada, nos asustamos pensamos que se podía morir de la tristeza, ya que donde estaba habían mas de su especie, vivía rodeada de sus compañeros, llamamos a mi cuñado y nos respondió que la dejáramos tranquila que ella iba a comer, y que le compráramos mazorca tierna.

Al otro día, no pude salir a comprarle la mazorca, así que seguimos colocándole su comida que era maíz seco con otros derivados especiales para ellos, pero no comía nada, y fue al tercer día que pude salir a buscar la mazorca y al llegar la pique y le puse un trozo, nos quedamos sorprendidos de como devoro ese maíz tierno.

Fueron pasando los días hasta que se fue adaptando a su nuevo hogar, pero seguía muy arisca, se escondía cuando le colocábamos la comida y el agua.

Los días siguieron pasando y ya tenia mas confianza, ya no se escondía en su casita al colocarle la comida, hasta que un día mi hija al ponerle unas hiervas se dio cuenta que estaba quieta y comió de su mano y hasta quería morder su dedo jajaja.

Su dieta es muy balanceada, come alpiste, maíz, pira, verdolaga, pimentón hasta casabe.

Queremos que pronto pueda tener hijos para criarlos mas mansos y poderlos tocar y acariciar.
