Stocks down, crypto down. People panicking over their bags. All of this is irrelevant when you think about what the people of Ukraine and Russia are going through. Yes, civilians from both side we should think about, because those are the ones who are and will be suffering because of the decisions the leaders have made somewhere over their heads.
People talk about casualties and taking in land or a city. That makes it sound clear and plastic. Abstract.
