Lambos, boatparties, and IVs to recover from the hangover from the day before. When looking at the words which are coming from the Miami Bitcoin conference 2021 there are some mixed feelings to be seen. But also it does bring back some warm memories, from HIVE fest around the world. Are you having some deja-vus as well?
Now I haven't seen too much of the conference itself apart from the shillz that are passing by, which some of them are not bringing out the best in terms of how Bitcoin looked like it was supposed to be. Loads of people being all hip and cool and then on top of it there was ofcourse the 'throwback to bitconnect of the year' by Max Keiser, which ofcourse hyped up the crowd, but was not really cool for anybody else and maybe did even more damage done.
What do you think when you see this? Couple of crazies right?
Now what I remember from HIVE fest (you know in the previous name) is that getting pumped by all the initiatives doesn't happen listening to all of the talks. Now the Bitcoin conference ofcourse has some big names speaking here, and that surely helps attracting a lot of people towards here.
But the actual talks about the future are not on stage I remember from HIVE fest. The actual development, deals and getting siked about something happens behind the scenes. That happens in the evenings, with a casual drink and getting to know the people you have be interaction with or working with for months and years already.
That is where the bonds are formed, that is where the hype actually starts, that is where plans are made. Somewhere in the back. And that is why going to these kinds of conferences is cool.
Now I can imagine that a lot of the bitcoin maximalists try to go anonymous towards here before getting their face on twitter somewhere to disclose how many millions they have. That meing said, I guess the real, real whales might not even be here, exactly for that reason.
But does that spoil the fun? No it doesn't. It gets everyone on the same page again on how you believe that blockchain technology is here to stay. If that will be 'the mother of all coins' Bitcoin, or maybe ethereum which is growing in dominance by the day, I don't know, (not as if that is relevant, being just a girl who is interested with not a lot of background towards there)
It is just a lot of fun hanging out with people who are interested in the same type of thing, whicle a lot of your other friends are often puzzled when you try to touch the crypto subject. Maybe you will learn a thing or two about the techology.
But most of all, getting back on the same page and believing the hype again. I don't believe this bullmarket is done already, I do believe it will be a rough summer but this year will still bring the fireworks. Based on what?
A hunch, stock-2-flow, or maybe just taking a chance. We will see what happens. And enjoy the drunk stories from the Miami shill and hype people
