🤸 Challenge your Yoga Practice: Handstands with a partner 🤸
Did you know that @acromott
@dayda
@lifemovedbysteem are hosting a month long yoga challenge? There are many different yoga poses you can be in such as: tree pose, warrior one, warrior 2, lotus, down dog, folded leaf, etc.
My favorite kinds of yoga poses are the ones where you can be inverted such as headstand and handstands. Maybe it’s because I’m an acrobat, but I find life to be more exciting upside down.
I have been working on my handstand practice for over 2 years now! On good days, I can float my handstand for maybe 2 or 3 seconds. Fun fact, it is easier to handstand on someone else than doing it on your own. The base can help balance you, while the ground will make you do all of the work.
Here I am hand standing on @acromott.
I’m all about working with others to improve my yoga practice, especially with handstands. Without a good spot, it is easy to flip over and even hurt your back. In today’s handstand tutorial, @acromott will give you some good tips on how to safety handstand with a partner.
I hope today’s tutorial inspires you to practice your handstands! It is a lot of hard work, but you will be so strong!
love,
Karen
