It is gloomy and pouring rain here, and today I am greatful for it. Not only does outside need it, (forest and gardens and animals) but I do.
***ok, my chickens hate it. It is coop day. They WILL NOT come outside haha)
This rain today is making it ok to hide inside.
It is soothing on my roof.
It is drowning out the sound of cars, leaving big wooshes instead.
It is making me put on my favourite, coziest clothes.
It is making me want to bake, so I will today.
It is making the dog and cat want to hang with me today instead of outside!
It is making me feel like comfort tunes, dragging out old playlists.
It is a guilt free excuse to not doing garden chores.
It means longer cuddles with my babe who is fighting to stay in bed.
It is forcing me to slow down and catch up inside all at once.
It means some time to reach out to some friends I haven't messaged or called in a bit.
It gives my brain so much to work with today, to distract from what it is currently obsessed with.
The rain is giving my mind a break.
