Yes friends, it hurts me and maybe you too, that sometimes we have objects at home that need some little fix for some circumstance we leave it behind in a corner and when we need to use it then we remember that it is on the list of things that need a touch of magic. This happens to me with my mirror. Actually this is one of many I've had. What's special about it is that it has magnification and I use it for makeup, but Rafaella broke it, thank God, the side that doesn't have magnification. That's why I kept it.

Si amigos, me duele pasar y quizás a ustedes también, que a veces tenemos objetos en casa que necesitan de algún pequeño arreglo por alguna circunstancia lo dejamos rezagados en un rincón y cuando requerimos usarlo entonces nos acordamos que está en la lista de cosas que necesitan un toque de magia. Esto me pasa con mi espejo. En realidad este es uno de muchos que he tenido. Lo que tiene de particular es que tiene aumento y lo uso para maquillarme, pero Rafaella lo rompió, gracias a Dios, el lado que no tiene aumento. Por eso lo conservé.

Every time I used it, the mirror, being a little loose, tends to move and it's a little annoying. I told myself every time that I would fix it at any time, until I finally gave it the promised restoration. I wanted to do something feminine with flowers, so I started with the apple green background that is just begging to be used. Then I realized it was the least romantic or vintage color, as I had in mind to give it that look. Then I was wondering what to do and a frog seemed like a nice idea.

Cada que lo usaba, el espejo por estar un poco suelto tiende a moverse y es un poco molesto. Me decía a mí misma cada vez que en cualquier momento lo arreglaría, hasta que finalmente le di la prometida restauración. Quería hacer algo femenino con flores, entonces empecé con el fondo de color verde manzanas que me pide a gritos ser usado. Después me di cuenta que era el color menos romántico o vintage, pues tenía en mente darle ese aspecto. Entonces preguntaba que hacer y una rana me pareció una agradable idea.

This cute little frog became the adornment of my old mirror. The background, as I mentioned, is a disk of apple green crochet thread. It took me 12 turns to reach the diameter of the mirror's circumference. I cut two pieces of cardboard a few millimeters smaller than the diameter so it would fit snugly. With cold silicone I glued both pieces of cardboard on top of each other on the mirror.

Está coqueta ranita pasó a ser el adorno de mi viejo espejo. El fondo, como ya lo mencioné, es un disco de hilo crochet verde manzana. Me tomó 12 vueltas para alcanzar el diámetro de la circunferencia del espejo. Corté dos piezas de cartón unos milímetros más pequeños que el diámetro para que entrara y quedará bien ajustado. Con silicón frío pegué ambos cartones superpuestos en el espejo.

I wove circles of different sizes. Some for the eyes in green, white and black and others in different shades of green and brown to make some spots typical of a frog's skin. I made some flirty red lips. Then I thought it would have been better if they were thicker and more provocative, today is the trend. I also made two long arms with four fingers each and a small orange flower, a color that also captivates me, before I didn't like it much, but lately my taste in colors has changed a little.

Tejí circunferencias de diferentes tamaños. Unas para los ojos en verde, blanco y negro y otras de diferentes tonos de verde y café para realizar algunas manchas propias de la piel de una rana. Le hice unos coquetos labios rojos. Después pensé que habría sido mejor que quedarán más gruesos y provocativos, hoy día es la tendencia. También hice dos largos brazos con cuatro dedos cada uno y una pequeña flor color naranja, un color que también me tiene cautivada, antes no me gustaba mucho, pero últimamente mis gustos respecto a los colores han cambiado un poco.
