Happy and blessed day. Every opportunity that life presents us to take advantage of our creativity is a privilege. Not many times we perceive it, busyness, among other things prevent us from enjoying the blessing of being able, with our own hands and some inspiration, to create something useful and beautiful. It is for this reason that I feel very blessed to have creative hands and also to be able to share with others a little bit of what I enjoy doing so much: creating.

No muchas veces lo percibimos, las ocupaciones, entre otras cosas nos impiden disfrutar de la bendición de poder, con nuestras propias manos y algo de inspiración, crear algo útil y hermoso. Es por esta razón que me siento muy bendecida de tener manos creativas y además de poder compartir con los demás un poquito de lo que tanto disfruto hacer: crear.

Today I bring you this choker made with crochet hearts and some other decorative elements that I found in my box of materials. I had them in my stash for a long time, but I hadn't found the right way to incorporate them into an accessory. I finally did in this choker. They are embellishments that have come loose from garments, and for a crafter every decorative piece, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is a little treasure.

Hoy les traigo esta gargantilla hecha con corazones de crochet y algunos otros elementos decorativos que conseguí en mi caja de materiales. Los tenía guardados hace mucho, pero no había encontrado la forma apropiada de incorporarlos a un accesorio. Finalmente lo hice en esta gargantilla. Son adornos que se han soltado de prendas de vestir, y para una artesana cada pieza decorativa, por insignificante que parezca, es un pequeño tesoro.

I used red Crochet thread, black mouse tail cord, some golden chain links, a parrot beak hook, a golden ring, an imitation pearl and a golden curved tube. The latter are the pieces that come from clothing.

Utilicé hilo Crochet rojo, cordón cola de ratón color negro, algunos eslabones de cadena color dorado, un gancho pico de loro, una argolla dorada, una perla imitación y un tubo curvo dorado. Éstas últimas, son las piezas que provienen de prendas de vestir.

To make the hearts, we make a magic ring and over it, three chain stitches, then three double double crochet high stitches. 3 double crochet stitches. 1 double double crochet. 3 double crochet stitches. 3 double crochet high stitches and 3 chain stitches closed over the magic ring with 1 slip stitch. We pull the yarn tightly to close the ring and finish it off by cutting off the leftovers. In total I made nine hearts.

Para hacer los corazones, realizamos un anillo mágico y sobre él, tres puntos de cadeneta, luego tres puntos altos dobles. 3 puntos altos. 1 punto alto doble. 3 puntos altos. 3 puntos altos dobles y 3 puntos de cadena cerrados sobre el anillo mágico con 1 punto deslizado. Tiramos muy bien del hilo para cerrar el anillo y rematamos cortando los sobrantes. En total realicé nueve corazones.

We join the hearts forming a chain and for this we use the links. With the help of a plier we open each link and we hook them to the hearts trying to do it always at the same point for each heart. We leave a link in each strenght of the chain of hearts. These will be used to tie the mouse tail cord.

Unimos los corazones formando una cadena y para ello utilizamos los eslabones. Con ayuda de una pinza abrimos cada eslabón y los vamos enganchando a los corazón procurando hacerlo siempre en el mismo punto para cada corazón. Dejamos un eslabón en cada estrenó de la cadena de corazones. Estos nos servirán para atar el cordón cola de ratón.

Then we pass the mouse tail thread through the curved tube and tie the ends in the available links of the chain of hearts. It is necessary to measure on our neck to determine the length we want and also that everything is tight enough so that it does not take an unwanted shape. Cut the excess and seal. We place the parrot beak hook using a ring and at the other end of the cord we place a link. Cut and seal.

Luego pasamos el hilo cola de razón por el tubo curvo y amarramos los extremos en los eslabones disponibles de la cadena de corazones. Es necesario ir midiendo en nuestro cuello para precisar el largo que deseamos y además que todo quede lo suficientemente ajustado de manera que no tome una forma indeseada. Cortamos los sobrantes y sellamos. Colocamos el gancho pico de loro haciendo uso de una argolla y en el otro extremo del cordón colocamos un eslabón. Cortamos y sellamos.

This is my new accessory. I think it looks great with a white shirt. Although to show it here, I used a turtleneck, so you could better appreciate every detail. I hope you like it, I say goodbye wishing the whole community many blessings.
