ENG/ESP Colorful bracelet with square links. / Colorido brazalete con eslabones cuadrados.

When I started making this bracelet I had in mind something very different. The colors inspired me to be a bracelet with a certain Indian style, but when I started making it, I realized that it was very similar to other designs already shared in the community. I stopped immediately and had to reorganize everything to start a new design. This time inspired by the same style but with square links made with beads.

Cuando empecé a realizar este brazalete tenía en mente algo muy diferente. Los colores me inspiraron a ser un brazalete con cierto estilo indio, pero al empezar su elaboración, me dí cuenta que era muy parecido a otros diseños ya compartidos en la comunidad. Me detuve de inmediato y tuve que reorganizar todo para empezar un nuevo diseño. Está vez inspirado en el mismo estilo pero con eslabones cuadrados hechos con mostacillas.

The process is really friendly, entertaining and it goes faster than we can imagine since the links are a little big and only fifteen pieces are enough for a big bracelet. This one is not adjustable so I have to make it just the right size for my wrist which is a bit thick. On the other hand I like that it is not too loose. It's more comfortable for me. The materials are to taste. But I chose very bright and contrasting colors like red and turquoise. Golden beads that are almost orange and ochre-colored beads.

El proceso es realmente amigable, entretenido y se avanza más rápido de lo que podamos imaginar ya que los eslabones quedan un poco grandes y solo con quince piezas es suficiente para un brazalete grande. Este no es ajustable por lo que tengo que hacerlo del tamaño justo de mi muñeca que es un poco gruesa. Por otro lado me gusta que no quede demasiado suelta. Es más cómodo para mí. Los materiales son a gusto. Pero yo escogí colores muy vivos y contrastantes como el rojo y el turquesa. Canutillos dorados que son casi anaranjados y mostacillas color ocre

We made the bracelet with fifteen square links. In a nylon of 2 meters we pass a bead and a bead until completing four of each one. We start with beads and finish with beads. We place the beads in the middle of the thread and pass one of the nylon strands through the last bead at the other end. Thus we form the first square link.

Realizamos el brazalete de quince eslabones cuadrados. En un nylon de 2 metros pasamos una mostacilla y un canutillo hasta completar cuatro de cada uno. Empezamos con mostacillas y terminamos con mostacillas. Ubicamos las cuentas en la mitad del hilo y pasamos una de las hebras de nylon por el último canutillo del otro extremo. Así formamos el primer eslabón cuadrado.

Since we have already formed the first square, we are going to form the following links with three beads, since one of the sides of the next square is a side of the previous link. We place a bead on each side and on one of the sides we place two beads separated by a bead and on the other one a bead with a bead. We pass the thread that has a bead through the last bead of the opposite thread. That is to say the one that does not have a bead. Pulling the nylon, the second link is formed.

En vista de que ya hemos formado el primer cuadrado, los siguientes eslabones los vamos a formar con tres canutillos, ya que uno de los lados del cuadrado siguiente es un lado del eslabón anterior. Colocamos una mostacilla de cada lado y en uno de los lados colocamos dos canutillos separados por una mostacilla y del otro un canutillo con una mostacilla. Pasamos el hilo que tiene un canutillo por el último canutillo de hilo opuesto. Es decir el que no tiene mostacilla. Al tirar del nylon queda formado el segundo eslabón.

We work in the same way until we reach the desired size. And we are ready to add color to this bracelet. We place a bead, a red crystal and another bead and pass the thread diagonally to the bead that connects one link to the other and so we alternate the colors and the direction in which we introduce the threads that will go in zigzag.

Trabajamos de la misma manera hasta completar el tamaño deseado. Y estamos listos para añadirle color a este brazalete. Colocamos una mostacilla, un cristal rojo y otra mostacilla y pasamos el hilo en diagonal hasta la mostacilla que une un eslabón con el otro y así vamos alternando los colores y la dirección en la que introducimos el hilos que va a ir en zigzag.

We complete the design by making a half ring at the ends of the bracelet. We make them with 9 beads and in one of them we place the parrot beak hook that serves as a clasp.

Completamos el diseño realizado una media argolla en los extremos del brazalete. Las realizamos con 9 mostacillas y en una colocamos el gancho pico de loro que nos sirve de cierre.

My Indian style square link bracelet is ready. I think to wear it with neutral clothes as it is quite colorful. I think a white or black blouse would be a good choice. Mi brazalete con eslabones cuadrados y estilo indio está listo. Creo que para usarlo con ropa neutra ya que es bastante colorido. Creo que una blusa blanca o negra sería una buena opción.
