Happy Wednesday, friends passionate about jewelry and handcrafted accessories. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to greet you and wish you all kinds of enriching blessings. Blessings for our lives can go beyond the material, of course those financial blessings that come to us in a timely manner are not to be discounted, but when we begin to look around us expressing gratitude for all that we possess, not to mention the material, we realize how blessed we are. I think prosperity does not mean that we are being blessed, because there are people who are very prosperous and far from happy. However, there are others who are not so prosperous and know how to enjoy the blessings they have and this translates into happiness.

Feliz miércoles, amigos apasionados por la joyería y los accesorios artesanales. Es un gusto absoluto poder saludarlos y desearle todo tipo de enriquecedoras bendiciones. Las bendiciones para nuestras vidas pueden ir más allá de lo material, claro que no está demás esas bendiciones financieras que nos llegan de manera oportuna, pero cuando empezamos a mirar a nuestro alrededor expresando gratitud por todo aquello que poseemos, sin mencionar lo material, nos damos cuenta de lo bendecidos que somos. Pienso que la prosperidad no significa que estemos siendo bendecidos, pues hay personas muy prósperas y están lejos de ser felices. Sin embargo, hay otras no tan prósperos y saben gozar de las bendiciones que tienen y esto se traduce en felicidad

That said, let's take a look at this beautiful bracelet I made with some black Turkish eye beads. Every color has a meaning and according to my research, in this case black is related to prosperity. However, if you ask me, who prefer to choose between prosperity and blessing, I choose blessing because they can come in infinite forms and always come to brighten our lives.

Dicho esto, vamos a ver este bonita pulsera que realicé con unas cuentas de ojo turco de color negro. Cada color tiene un significado y según investigué, en este caso el color negro está relacionado con la prosperidad. No obstante, si me preguntan a mí, que prefiero elegir entre prosperidad y bendición, elijo bendición porque pueden venir en infinidades de formas y siempre llegan para alegrar nuestras vidas.

I used a series of beads between colors, white, red and a touch of gold with a heart pendant. All joined together with red Chinese thread. Just before I started to assemble the bracelet, I realized that I was going to be missing a piece of Chinese thread for the central thread, and I didn't have enough red so I had to use a pale pink one. Luckily it's not very noticeable except in the tree part.

Utilicé una serie de cuentas entre colores, blanco, rojo y un toque dorado con balines y colgante de corazón. Todo unido con hilo chino color rojo. Justo antes de empezar a armar la pulsera, me dí cuenta que me iba a faltar un trozo de hilo chino para el hilo central, y no tenía suficiente de color rojo así que tuve que utiizar uno de color rosa pálido. Por suerte no se nota mucho sino en la parte de los arbolarios.

I started the bracelet with a series of flat knots but always starting from the left side, so that the knots are twisted on themselves.

Empecé la pulsera con una serie de nudos planos pero iniciando siempre del lado izquierdo, así conseguimos que los nudos queden entorchados sobre sí mismos.

Then I introduced a white bead interspersed with red beads, but between the beads I used flat knots. It is a basic procedure that does not vary at any time. Just insert the beads and secure them with flat knots. But when we get to the center which is where we have placed the central stone we start placing the rest of the beads following the pattern of the first half.

Luego introduje una cuentas de color blanco intercalada con otras rojas, pero entre las cuentas utilicé nudos planos. Es un procedimiento básico que no varía en ningún momento. Solo hay que introducir las cuentas y asegurarlas con nudos planos. Pero al llegar al centro que es donde hemos colocado la piedra central empezamos a colocar el resto de las cuentas siguiendo el patrón de la primera mitad.

Then we continue with the flat knots in a spiral. I confess; I didn't count how many knots I made at the beginning so I had to calculate the number of knots and it was much easier for me to count the number of turns the weave had before the number of knots. This way I was able to arrive at an approximation of the number of knots. The important thing is that the lips are symmetrical, unless the asymmetrical effect is intentionally desired.

Luego seguimos con los nudos planos en espiral. Les confieso; no conté cuántos nudos realicé al inicio así que me tocó calcular la cantidad de nudos y me resultó mucho más fácil contar la cantidad de giros que tenía el entramado antes de la cantidad de nudos. Así pude llegar a un aproximado de la cantidad de nudos. Lo importante es que los labios estén simétricos, a menos que se desee el efecto asimétrico de manera intencional.

We closed the bracelet with a Franciscan knot and three beads between two simple knots to make the arborariums. I chose a red glass bead, a red murano glass and in between them a golden ballin.

Cerramos la pulsera con un nudo franciscano y tres cuentas entre dos nudos simples para hacer los arbolarios. Elegí una cuenta de vidrio rojo, un cristal de murano rojo y en medio de ellas un balín dorado.

It is impressive the way these beads called Turkish eyes catch the eye. You don't have to make too much effort when including them in a design as they always take center stage. I bid you farewell until next time. A thousand blessings.
