ENG/ESP Bracelet with beads and something else. / Brazalete con canutillos y algo más.

I chose other materials I had available. But I've found that lately I've been including more things than I had originally intended. It's a matter of adding other materials that enrich the design, that give it strength and presence.

Elegí otros materiales que tenía disponibles. Pero me he dado cuenta que últimamente incluyo más cosas de las que originalmente había pensado. Es un tema de ir añadiendo otros materiales que enriquezcan el diseño, que le aportan fuerza y presencia.

First we anchored a chain with a ring and a parrot's beak hook. We attach it to the edge of a high surface that allows us to work comfortably. I used a pin and the edge of a box. Then we tie a nylon thread of about 2 meters and we pass 4 pellets of 2 mm in one of the strands and in the other we place 3 pellets. We pass the nylon of 3 pellets through the last pellet and thus we form a ring. In each strand we place a bobbin.

Primero anclamos una cadena con una argolla y un gancho pico de loro. Lo sujetamos al borde de una superficie alta que nos permita trabajar cómodamente. Yo utilicé un alfiler y el borde de una caja. Luego amarramos un hilo de nylon de unos 2 metros y pasamos 4 balines de 2 mm en una de las hebras y en la otra colocamos 3 balines. Pasamos el nylon de 3 balines por el último balin y así formamos una argolla. En cada hebra colocamos un canutillo.

Now we place a rhombus crystal and pass it through with both strands but in the opposite direction. Now two more canutillos and then a 4 mm ball, but this time we are going to pass both strands with the same hole and in the same direction. We repeat the pattern and in this way we advance to the desired length. We place a 2 mm ball and pass both strands through the same but in the opposite direction. We place 3 balls of 2 mm and tie off.

Ahora colocamos un cristal de rombo y lo pasamos atravesándolo con ambos hilos pero en sentido contrario. Ahora dos canutillos más y seguidamente un balín de 4 mm, pero en esta ocasión vamos a pasar ambas hebras con el mismo orificio y en la misma dirección. Repetimos el patrón y de esta forma avanzamos hasta el largo deseado. Colocamos un balín de 2 mm y pasamos ambos hilos por la misma pero en sentido contrario. Colocamos 3 balines de 2 mm en amarramos.

I decided that I wanted the bracelet to be more eye-catching, so I continued to place two bobbins in a row upwards, together in the middle of where an X is formed with the 4 mm bobbin. In the middle of the two beads I placed a 2 mm Murano glass and grouped them in pairs by color. At the end I placed 12 crystals. The design itself is guiding us in the way we must go forward with the threads and it is as if we were making a zigzag. When we get to the top we just have to pass both threads through the last beads and tie at the base of the ring. We place the chain at the other end.

Decidí que quería que el brazalete fuese más vistoso, así que seguí colocando dos canutillos seguidos hacia arriba, junto en medio de donde se forma una X con el balín de 4 mm. En medio de los dos canutillos coloque un cristal de murano de 2 mm y los fui agrupando en pares por color. Al final coloque 12 cristales. El diseño mismo nos va guiando en la forma que debemos ir avanzando con los hilos y es como si hiciéramos un zigzag. Al llegar hasta la parte de arriba solo tenemos que pasar ambos hilos por los últimos canutillos y amarrar en la base de la argolla. Colocamos la cadena en el otro extremo.

The golden color of the beads and the colors of the crystals make a nice combination and I am happy with the result. It was worth doing the second round with the other materials as it gave more strength to the whole design and also added color and style, but not too ostentatious. El color dorado de los canutillos y los colores de los cristales hacen una bonita combinación y estoy contenta con el resultado. Valió la pena hacer la segunda vuelta con los otros materiales ya que le dió más fuerza a todo el diseño y también le añadió color y estilo, pero no demasiado ostentoso. Me despido deseando que todos sean bendecidos y prosperados según el deseo de su corazón.
