Here are a few pics from a walk along the "Horseshoe Trail" area of Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
Someone just recently built a lovely bench, judging from the pile of fresh chainsaw shavings on the ground, with a terrific view of the Bow River Valley.
Less snowfall then usual this year, there were many bare spots. The trail has numerous openings with great viewpoints.
There was a cougar warning sign at the trail head, but it wasn't sighted, and no tracks were seen, but I always carry a can of bear spray just in case.
