I took a short hike this day in Canmore, Alberta, Canada, to a trail called Johnny's Run, mostly a mountain bike trail but hikers sometimes use it too.
Walking through a snow covered forest, in the crisp air is exhilarating.
This trail cuts through a wildlife corridor, a large swath of land reserved for animals, the trails are laid out trying not to interfere with their
migration, and movement. If caught off a designated trail there is a large fine to be paid.
A lot of tracks in the snow, mostly deer, and 2 were seen but too far for a good pic, I always carry bear spray for protection, although most have started denning up for the Winter, there are ....
still cougars to be concerned about.
