**Moonlit Path and Quiet Talk **
I went out for walk with my friend last night and it was exactly what I needed.
The day had been tiresome.Messages, traffic, deadlines all that noise in my head that does not shut up unless you force it to.So we just left our phones in our pockets and stepped outside. No plan.No destination.Just walk.
The air was cooler than I expected. The moon was up there, half hidden behind clouds but still bright enough to throw light on the path. The grass on both sides looked almost green under the streetlights and the shadows of the trees were long across the concrete. It felt quiet in that way that cities are quiet after 10pm.Not empty, just softer.
We did not talk about anything serious at first. We talked about random stuff.About that one professor who always explains a lot during class.About whether that building in the distance has new lights.About how the crickets are louder this month. My friend kept kicking small stones and I kept looking up at the sky.
There is something about walking at night with someone you are comfortable with. You do not have to fill every silence. You can just walk side by side and let the quiet do its work. The path was empty except for us.Buildings were there in the background a few windows lit but it felt like our own little stretch of world.
Halfway through,we stopped for a minute.Just stood there and looked at the moon.It was not a perfect clear night but the clouds made it look better like it was peeking out on purpose. My friend said the walk felt like pressing a reset button and I agree.Walking does that.It untangles thoughts without you trying.
We ended up walking longer than we planned.By the time we got back, the legs were tired but the head felt lighter. No big revelations. No deep life talk. Just air, moonlight and conversation that went wherever it wanted to go.
Sometimes you do not need a big trip or a big plan to feel better. You need a path, a friend and an hour where nobody is asking anything from you. That was enough.
This is my entry for contest. Here are the rules.
