german version

it's a tragedy with countless traffic signs: germanys roads. signs as far as the eye can see. the overflowing flood of prohibition and notices is almost impossible to keep track of, and not only on the roads.

this sticker of käpt'n kalle was or is on a traffic sign somewhere on the uncountable traffic signs in germany

there seems to be no such thing as personal responsibility in germany anymore. it has been completely abolished. at the latest in school, students are forced by fear to turn off their brains and to follow stupidly the teacher. otherwise they talk to parents and give bad grades, ... . everyone is probably familiar with these sanctions and has probably experienced them. our school system, which originated in prussia, is based on obedience. it was once supposed to protect children from child labor in industry. the reason for that was a extremely bad physical condition of young men in the military. accordingly, a teacher is always right. and if he is wrong, the student is definitely wrong. everything is perfectly regulated: the lesson plan, the daily routine, the yearly schedule, the life course. after school, the paternalism of institutional structures continues seamlessly in all areas of life. the military has lost importance, but in questions of health, the doctor or pharmacist is followed blindly, in questions of money, the banker, in questions of whom to vote, the mainstream-media, in questions of security, the insurance, ... for everything there is an expert who decisively prescribes how one has to behave, including in road traffic. do not get me wrong, rules have their justification. but regulatory frenzy ends in chaos. but nowadays we find this appearance in all areas.
only those who think outside the box question such things. they claim that in germany some speed limits only serve to pull money out of people's pockets in the old robber baron manner in the most evil way (of course the exorbitant taxes are by far not enough). a speed limit of 50 km/h within sight of a place-name sign, in front of which there is a speed camera is certainly just as unsuitable for ripping people off as a speed limit of 100 km/h just before a valley bottom on a six-lane autobahn, for no apparent reason, in order to then be able to flash everyone in the valley who gets the impudent idea of being able to take a little momentum with them. at least that saves a little fuel. truly a stupid thought on the part of the road user that must be punished. otherwise the state would lose money. the driver would have to stop at the gas station less often to fill up and buy new brake pads.
what this madness does in the minds of germans can be seen, for example, on the roads of the netherlands. when a german driver is on the road there, he appears completely helpless, confused and overwhelmed. he blocks the road for kilometers at a snail's pace after passing a construction site. he doesn't understand that when a road meets the one he is on, the previously indicated speed limit is lifted again. how is he supposed to know? after all, in germany, a sign always tells him when he can accelerate again - foolproof for the brainless.
signs with a red circle indicate prohibitions - i.e. a red line (boarder line). in the meantime, german politicians say that there are no more red lines. we humans should take this to heart for once. namely, to cross the red lines and prohibitions imposed on us. of course, morally justifiable with one's own moral (OWN RESPONSIBILITY) and only insofar as it benefits all people and no one else has to suffer as a result. those can be put in their place who, without morals and in infinite greed, think they can impose crazy orders on people that obviously have no validity for themselves. fine! let them just get on with it! but what is a leader if no one follows him anymore and the people are laughing about him? who does he want to command and lead then?
that's enough! it's time to saddle the horses and ride into battle. of course, this is only meant metaphorically. the times of slaughter and blood lust should not return, even if the authorities are distancing themselves more and more from the people. conditions like in the french revolution don't help anyone. so stay peaceful and in love! how does that work? there are many possibilities: you can simply walk around at night with others, stop working, transfer the tax in countless small amounts, contradict all fines for the first time, ..... there are no limits to creativity and possibilities. we humans are enormous mighty. however, we have already been disempowered and robbed of our power by the fear we were taught at school age and because we have been deceived by examples that have been set. it ends when we want it to!
so, it's high time to get rid of fear, to dare new steps together. we humans can only win, the others have already lost.
