Hi @clairemobey! I'm pretty sure your unidentified flower is a canna, also known as a canna lily. I have always wanted to grow them but I don't have a good place to store the rhizomes in winter. Most varieties can grow to 6' (1.8) meters although there are dwarf varieties, and they're such a dramatic looking plant.
