Far beyond the Solar System, on the edge of the Milky Way, is an earth-like planet, its surface is covered with desert and sea, yet full of life. Moisture is obtained from the morning dew by these strange creatures, that live at the sea-shore.During the day, due to the heat, they dry out completely, at which point they detach from the ground and the wind rolls them over. Then at night they saturate again with moisture and cling to a rock. When the wind blows them into the sea, they come together into a huge, jellyfish-like creature and live in the deepness for millennia.
They multiply in the sea and it takes a huge storm to get them back to land.
When they get into the sand, they dig themselves deep into the ground, transform into a huge worm-like creature, and build a trap for surface animals.
