Hello Aliens!
This time I've brought an animal into my work again. The main character is a jaguar, surrounded by some pretty bold and striking colors. I actually started out wanting to create something a little melancholic. You know, something moody and a bit gloomy, the kind of atmosphere I usually gravitate toward. I was planning to give the jaguar a blue color, but once I started putting the different elements together in Adobe Photoshop, I realized it wasn't really working with the rest of the composition.
So I decided to try something different and went with sharper shades of red and yellow instead. Surprisingly, they worked much better, especially with the golden light and the red flowers surrounding the jaguar. The collage ended up going in a completely different direction from what I had originally imagined. It feels a lot wilder, more magical, and full of color.
For the process, I combined different visual elements in Photoshop, adjusting their sizes, positions, and colors until they felt like they belonged together. I also played around with the lighting and contrast to make the jaguar stand out against the background. One of the more interesting parts was finding the right balance between all those strong colors without making everything compete for attention.
I was actually planning to share this piece yesterday, but I got pretty tired while working on it and started feeling sleepy. I decided to take a short break, but, well, I ended up falling asleep until morning! I even forgot to turn off my computer, so it stayed running all night while I was fast asleep, lol.
Luckily, I woke up feeling much more refreshed and finally got around to finishing the collage this morning. Sometimes it's better to step away for a while instead of forcing yourself to keep going when you're already exhausted.
Anyway, I'm happy to finally share this work with you all. Hope you enjoy this little jaguar creation!
I've included all the images I used in creating this artwork below.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my work! I'll see you in my next post.
