Some things are easily addressed in one's mind rather than in reality. When faced with tough decisions, we are scared of the consequences, thinking about if we make a good decision or if we will regret it later.
My dream is to install an inverter in my store so that I don't ever have to face power disruption. We are faced with poor power supply, which of course can affect business operations, and since I deal with frozen foods, power supply is a must for me to remain in business.
Few months ago, a family friend relocated and sold their inverter batteries to me with a single medium panel. I don't really know much about inverters, and when I searched online, I didn't understand much either. Thankfully, my neighbor at my store does inverter sales and installation. I told him about the batteries I got and asked for the cost of installing it in my store.
I got an unexpected shock. I was given an estimate of over 500k. The man said the batteries were too big for just one panel, so I had to buy another one to be able to charge the batteries comfortably. He said I also had to get an inverter box for two batteries and some other accessories. It was way out of my budget, and I didn't expect to still spend so much when I already had batteries and an inverter panel.
I decided to put the plan on hold and face other concerns until two days ago when the man called me that one of the batteries wasn't active anymore and he said it would keep depleting because it's not in use. I had to make a decision as soon as possible.
I spoke to my husband about it, and he asked me what I wanted to do. Isn't husband's supposed to do all the thinking and make decisions? 馃
Well, I told him I wanted to sell off. There's no need to keep them when I'm not ready to use them anytime soon.
I told the man I wanted to sell the batteries and the panel, and he said he would get a buyer, but I didn't expect it to happen so fast.
I told him about selling today, and in less than three hours they were lots of buyers biding for it. Now I'm confused thinking if it's a good decision to still go ahead and sell or to just still keep them.
My thoughts were, "How come they were lots of people bargaining when the battery isn't strong anymore?" "Is he playing a fast one on me just to make me sell them?"
I could be wrong or right.... I'm just confused, but I'm still going ahead to sell. At least I would use the money to stock up my store.
What would you have done in this situation?
