In high school times in my city, we always expected the talent festival, an event from the school itself that featured a day of bands and another of dances, we spent the whole year rehearsing just for that day, sometimes I could play a song because of the number of bands, if there were few bands it could even play two songs.
It was really cool to perform there, I would get a T-shirt for the event and even a certificate, my friends and I knew it would be our last performance and it had to be something from Slipknot because it was in 2011, the year they played at Rock in Rio here in Brazil, we even made the masks in a simple way, with cheap material and it was really cool.
The song chosen was Duality, there was even a friend of mine who was a DJ and jumped in the crowd like at the show haha, everyone loved our performance and asked for more, but unfortunately they didn't let a second song roll, as those times were good, the simplicity of things made all the difference in everything.
Nos tempos de colégio da minha cidade, sempre esperávamos o festival de talentos, um evento do próprio colégio que apresentava um dia de bandas e outro de danças, ficávamos o ano todo ensaiando apenas para esse dia, as vezes podia tocar uma música por causa da quantidade de bandas, caso tivesse poucas bandas dava até pra tocar duas músicas.
Era muito legal se presentar ali, ganhava camiseta do evento e até um certificado, eu e meus amigos sabíamos que ia ser nossa ultima apresentação e tinha que ser algo do Slipknot porque foi no ano de 2011, ano que eles tocaram no Rock in Rio aqui no Brasil, fizemos até as mascaras de um jeito simples, com material barato e ficou bem legal.
A música escolhida foi a Duality, até teve um amigo meu que foi de DJ e pulou na galera igual no show haha, todo mundo amou nossa apresentação e pediram mais, mas infelizmente não deixaram rolar uma segunda música, como essa época era boa, a simplicidade das coisas fazia a total diferença em tudo.
