This anime has been going on for a whole season, but this new season seem a bit like a reboot and change of the whole story line. While the first season he was more of a dear teacher that everyone revered, from adventurers to knights. And was validated as one of the great ones of the whole realm.

This second season, Beryl seemed more like a regular guy with a lot of experience on his craft and trying to find a porpoise on the city. The action went from royal bodygard to a university consultant that started facing some inner threats of the school and the politics that are handled then.

However, taking all that aside, I think the actual action scenes and animation is quite good. I enjoy the way the characters build the arch, and how different characters are trying to find their place. I feel that as the season progress, the main character (named Beryl) will start working with other forces outside of the school. From what it seems, the church might start showing up on the plot and will probably lead to something greater than the school.

I understand that the whole school arc was mainly because of Mewi, the adopted daughter of Beryl. But as he becomes more involved with their school matters, he will start uncovering a huge conspiracy. Probably a coup or something along those lines. Let see how it evolves.

So far I think a character that will come back in some shape or form is the vicepresident Faustes. I think he was the link between this politics going on across the university and into the church. I am not sure if I am right but something tells me, we haven't seen the end of the vicepresident. The forum discussions, mainly agree that the story is different from the light novel but closer to the manga and that the 3rd episode set the pieces better than the past episode where a lot of new characters were introduced.

I wonder what will happen to the characters of last season and how relevant will they still be moving forward. I hope we haven't seen the end of Allucia, Curuni and Surena. All very strong characters on the first season. So far they are just mildly referenced this season and don't really have much impact on this arc.

Finally we have to talk about the final battle against the wolf spirit, the animation was quite interesting. I found the combination of CGI and 2D animation has become a stable of anime action scenes. Specially when it comes to attack magical figures, and over the top characters. So far I don't have a problem with it, and have grown used to it. As for the actual fight, I found that we can see how just being a great swordman is not enough against powerful magical creatures. As you need at least some magic to fight them. Thanks to Ficelle for being there for him.

Are you watching this anime? What are your thoughts? Do you care as much or think is just a middle of the road anime. What you think of the final battle against the wolf spirit?
