It has been 3 shows of this galactic harem action show. I didn't have much hope for this show, but it has grown on me. The characters are quite funny and also the world is quite good. If you are into space punk, you should enjoy the animation and the spaceship design.
I think that the show however would be more on the slice of life relationship between Captain Hiro and his crew of female characters. The innocent Mimi, who was a random girl that he saved from her parents debt and she being the ultimate victim. Since Hiro help her, she is the first and most loyal member. Then is the Elf veteran girl Mimi which was the teacher of Hiro but since she fall into debt as well, Hiro eventually hired her as her co-pilot.
Together they make a lot of money as their help is such an important and rewarded job to the army defense force from space pirates. Hiro also have the respect and admiration of the Lieutenant Selena Holz. She notice Hiro skills on the battlefield and seems to be going somewhere in the future of the story.
I most say that one thing I recognize from the lead hero is that he doesn't push but also neither does he back down from the girls offering themselves to him. There is no crying weak male characters closing his eyes and running out of the room. This guy takes indicative and push through. Something very harem-ish but also needed to the story.
