This microfiction story is for the freewrite prompt "lifestyle choice". It reminds me of individuals who chose to operate outside of society's rules and regulations. Those individuals want to make their own rules and abide by them only. Rarely do those individuals think of the consequences of their actions until faced with the possibility of persecution. Even then, some don't take it seriously. My story is in the format of a ZAPFIC50 that's told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by

In the courtroom, Amy trembled, staring at the jury.
A third appearance supporting him at the request of their mother.
In front her younger brother, Aaron, slouched, doodling.
His insouciant chuckle at the jury angered the judge.
Amy hung her head.
No more. She was done.
It's his lifestyle choice.
