Earthing and Throwing Stones at Lagunde Beach

What beautiful weather we got today as I went out to check if it's good to go to the beach! The blue sky somehow nodded and told me to go check out the seawater! I promised my baby a swim the other day but yesterday, we woke up pretty late so we had to postpone this plan.

Today's a fine day, the sky is already bright and blue, it was 6:30 AM when we got out of the house. It's definitely hard to wake up to see the sunrise even if I wanted to, my eyes were totally shut, without the help of the chickens nearby, I might still be sleeping in the bed. But then again, I wanted Matti to take a swim at the beach because he has mild colds, back when we were small, whenever we got colds, our parents would just let us swim in the sea and surprisingly, the colds go away, not sure about the explanation to that.

My husband carried Matti who was wearing his new rash guard which we bought in SM Seaside the other day, we have been searching for one which would fit Matti but we never found one in Tagbilaran. I guess there are more option in Cebu but when we visited SM Seaside, there was only one that fits Matti and it costs Php 599, so expensive!

We had reached Oslob last Tuesday but it was only today that we had the chance to go out. We have seen some coconut trees down because of Typhoon Odette. Fortunately, no house was damaged here, only the trees, most of those which had fallen looked like they were pulled from the ground, they were uprooted!

Breakfast was not yet ready when we woke up so we decided to bring some food to eat along the way. I brought a banana and three slices of bread for Matti.

On our way to the beach, we spotted some Alugbati climbing in the walls of an abandoned land area. There were also many wild plants and flowers along the way, they look beautiful though despite no one taking care of them.

We reached the highway, can you see the bad road here?

If you are from Cebu, you'd know that Oslob is very well known for their Tuki or the gentle giants, the whalesharks. There's a barangay here where whalesharks were being fed by fishermen, they grew in numbers and had become a tourist spot. Search it on Google and you'll see thousands if not millions of posts about it.

So, you'd think about the income the government gets from the everyday number of tourists swimming with the whalesharks which by the way costs Php 500 for a 30 minute swim if you are not a local.

But then, the road here has not been worked out by the government, this is still asphalt and has a lot of holes already, I don't know when was the last time it was repaired though. It is not even pleasant driving here because you'll get bumps all over and thus, a lot of people had bad comments regarding this.

Anyway, here's the beach view, the sun was already up, it was a little windy, but the sun was shining brightly so we believed the water isn't cold. While it's a little cloudy in the beach side, the other side looks bright and blue, perhaps its my phone camera.

This beach here doesn't have a fine sand, it is in fact rocky and pebbles are all over the shore, it would be nice to run here if the sand was fine but no, we have to wear our slippers for safety purposes.

But I decided to walk barefoot! This is earthing and I am really happy I took off my slippers. Feeling the earth on my soles was relaxing! I have my monthly period so I can't join the husband and baby in swimming so I spent the entire time just walking here and there. I walked from where the stones were big and then towards the area where the sand was coarse.

Back when we were younger, we used to live near the shore. When our youngest had a problem walking, my parents would burry his legs and leave it for around 10 minutes. We don't know if that had helped but he was able to walk again. When he was in highschool, we learned he has a problem with his potassium so when it's low, he can't walk.

I stopped by to appreciate this part here where the sand were loose and that there were living creatures crawling in them! Someone had taken over this snail's shell house!

I took a handful of this coarse sand and it looked really nice, it didn't even stick to my hand after I put it back to the ground. I wish the entire beach has this kind of sand though, unfortunately, it is not but still, there's beauty in this kind of shoreline.

It's been awhile that we had spent our morning in the beach. I am glad that my husband's place is just nearby, we don't need to go to a far area just to enjoy the salty water. My baby had found out he can pickup rocks and throw them into the water. He enjoyed it and won't even want to go home yet!

So we spent the next five to ten minutes just waiting for him to get over the rocks but it seemed like he was just very interested he wouldn't stop. He was giggling and just laughing whenever the rock hits the water and then splashes.

We were sorry to end his happiness because it was already becoming very hot that my husband was afraid he will get sunburn as his back was very much exposed to the sun.

So we went home and we hope that tomorrow, the water would be calmer so Matti could eventually swim without the waves.
