I brought my little one to Duero's playground and my parents wanted to come along so we spent an entire afternoon there until sundown. My parents suggested we eat somewhere instead of cooking and we all agreed.
There's only one restaurant that's on my mind when we talk about Duero but we know it's a bit expensive, I am referring to Erve's Oasis. But my brother knows a place and said it's not far from where we were at so we all agreed to go to Grill n' Chill!
This place is not near the highway, it takes around five minutes of drive going to the entrance of the restaurant. The road isn't all concrete too but it is safe. There's a parking space right in the frontyard which was convenient.
The path going to the restobar is cemented and there were many flowers at the sides. The theme of this restobar is native rustic.
As soon as we reached inside, the owner welcomed us. There's a cottage already occupied there so asked for the menu right away. As my parents went to see the available food options, I took the chance to take photographs of the place.
The place is used as well for wedding receptions so they got an area which can accommodate around 100 guests. I can see that they had made extensions such as this gazebo.
There are also cottages for those who want a more intimate place to eat. Since the restobar offers milk teas and snacks too, guests may prefer having a dedicated space for themselves with their companions.
I appreciate the many giant plants available in the area. My mom was always looking at them and asked the owner if she grew them herself or she bought them somewhere. According to the owner, she bought them when they were smaller and now they had grown quite bigger in size already!
They also have a fish pond but there were no fishes at that time. Usually, they put those fishes which are ready for cooking. So they are always fresh!
Here's their menu. We decided to get their Boodle Fight Meal set B.We were a group of 8 adults so we believe that will be enough for us.
Unfortunately, the staff were short handed, they served it after almost an hour. We were all hungry though and so as soon as the huge plate arrived with our food, my mother asked, is this all that we will be eating? Well, I guess she thought this won't be enough for us because it doesn't look like the serving is good for 7 pax but actually, we managed to share the food among ourselves and were satisfied.
What's in the plate?
We had pancit canton guisado, fried chicken, pork adobo, grilled pork, stir fried vegetables, mangoes and apples.
We paid Php 1700 for this meal. I believe it was indeed not enough for us but taste is fine though. I guess we won't be coming back anytime soon.
