Do you usually accept gathering invites or politely decline? 😅
For us, it’s always a big YES, especially when it’s to celebrate good news with family.
We got invited to my aunt’s place as her husband was given a new role as MS. They were so happy and wanted to share their joy with everyone.
Of course we accepted. We had no reason to say no, as we were also as happy for them and wanted to celebrate together. 💛
We arrived at their house around 7:47 PM, and the food was already ready. 😍
There was pork nilaga, lumpia, and crispy pata that were served with a special vinegar and cucumber dipping sauce.
There was also lechong manok and sweet cakes for dessert.
Actually, I put a little bit of everything on my plate. 😂
But my absolute favorites that night were the crispy pata, as it was perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender inside. 🤤 And also my all-time favorite soup... the pork nilaga. Yum! 🤤
After eating, we also enjoyed some drinks. I finally got to try the trending CLVB.
A friend I met on topics.cash recommended it, and she was right. It was smooth and tasted really good mixed with Coke.
We also had some chicharon on the side, and it went perfectly with the vinegar dip from the lumpia earlier.
So good. 😋
And here’s the funniest part of the night... we noticed something so funny. 😂
At the start of the drinking session us girls were so loud and chatty, while the boys were quiet and calm. But as time went on… the boys got louder and louder... They started laughing hard, talking nonstop, and making so much noise. While we girls? We got quiet and relaxed. Hahaha. Who would’ve thought that's how alcohol works on us? 😆
It was a happy and fun night.
And to answer my question from the start: Do I accept invites or politely decline? Honestly, I always say YES whenever I can. I believe gatherings like this aren’t just about the food or drinks... It’s about sharing happiness, making memories, and laughing together with the people we care about. Why decline when you can celebrate and feel the joy with them? 🥰
